I agree that something heavy would rock. But they weren\'t thinking hardcore male football demographic meets MTV this year. They were thinking, appeal to everyone including the littlest of children.

And they didn\'t have much choice.

Paul was pretty good...at the very least, it\'s better than this pre-packaged MTV Pop bullshit that we got last year. Instead, they got someone that most people actually remember liking at one time, and still do. What good does a Former Boy-Band singer and an over-the-hill Jackson do for the demographics, anyways? I personally don\'t think a bunch of 24 to 49 year old men want to watch Justin Timberlake dance around like a 5 year old and grab his crotch, do you?

See Yuz.
What do Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Matt Clement, and Carlos Zambrano have in common?

They\'re the pieces to the next great pitching rotation of our time, what else?

GO CUBS!

Who said that the hated this one but liked last years???? SO STOP FUKING COMPARING THEM!! I hated last years also.

This is football its hard hitting its heavy metal. It not a "family" sport. My wife doesnt mind football but she doesnt need to sit down and watch it either. And we are not talking nudes and cussing here so I have nothing wrong with my 9 and 6 year old boys watching it. JUST NOT PAUL..... Boooring. This is the first time in the history of my posting im with the punk kids and not you old geezers that actually liked it. /end_rant

damn...I\'m surrounded by idiots with no taste in music.  I would go into the whole discussion of music with heart and soul versus the current piles of crap, but why bother, I\'ll only get into an argument and then shoot myself after realizing the genral public is fuctionally retarded at best.

Next year it will be the Eagles when the superbowl freezes. The following year they will introduce a female leauge and Elton John for the halftime show.

you must be one of those people who listens to a certain type of music because of how people view you.  Personally I can admit that Elton John is one talented bitch, and I like some of his songs, but then again I really don\'t need to be concerned as to how people see me, I\'m comfortable with my self.

Some kid at school was like that. he pissed me offff. Didnt even listen to any of the bands i did, then he all of a sudden turned into the "badd azz headbanger" who now adores dimebag when hes gone.

I can admit i like that Jem chick. hate some of her songs but i couldnt not listen when she was on conan and kilborn. and id hit it. and random slow ones. Only difference is i get tired of that while i can listen to at the gates and stuff all day.

I don\'t mean to  be rude but not enough Americans actually appreciate that music. Yea sure, a few lonesome teenagers here and there might like Interpol and everyone who watched MTV likes Franz Ferdinand but they definitely don\'t belong on the football field at a super bowl half time show.

They picked paul b/c he can please everyone. There is no need to sensor him and he still sings like he did when the Beatles first came here so it\'s win win...

IMO it was one of the best done half time shows. I liked the screens surrounding him as he played the piano..  plus he played "live and let die" ..

theres a current debate on the radio of what the show should be next year since its in detroit
the 2 that are most commonly brought up are kiss or a motown medley i vote for kiss but either would be fine by me

Paul was good but I just don\'t think the superbowl was the right place for him. Somebody more popular nowadays other than a pop singer would have been good.

They\'re just trying to salvage themselves from the bullsh^t that happened with Janet Jackson. They were going to have a 5 second delay for Paul, but they figure he wouldn\'t be a douche like Janet/Justin so they just let it be.
