I just checked out your links and the 2nd link has soulgrind linking a video clip.

I thought this video clip linked by soulgrind is quite interesting.  Its should give people a good idea how to install CPU into the motherboard and the cpu fan too, aka heatsink.  Graphic card, PCI soundcard, RAM, etc are also shown on how to installed..

I was quite surprised to see 2 two Hard disk drive connected by a PCI card.

Anyway, I didn\'t get the part of the video though where a guy is removing something off the side of the heatsink, cpu fan...

I\'m a bit weird this way. I\'ve never owned an AMD processor, but I\'d recommend AMD (for the A64).

For gaming the A64 is the one you want, but for video encoding and using more exotic hardware for home theater PCs Intel and their chipsets are preferred.

On the subject of 64-bit, Intel has had disabled 64-bit support in all Prescotts for a while now, just as Hyper-threading was in every P4 long before it was activated.  No need to support 64-bit until the software and a retail OS supports it.

Interesting.

its included Audio encoding, LAME.  I keep looking for that LAME codec, but couldn\'t find it on the search engine.  Know where I can download one that actually work?

Sure, here it is:

http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Lame_Encoder.htm

I plug it into Razorlame to encode, but there are many programs that can use LAME too.

ok, finally works.  It play fines, but it got a message saying an error is found...shrug...

btw, what\'s the different between betweeb "Stereo" and "Joint Stereo"?

I just go with "stereo" for encoding.
