Wireless probs
« on: April 02, 2005, 09:09:44 PM »
It seems that I either have some settings wrong or it\'s just a limitation of wireless routers, but I can\'t do any type of gaming online.  I\'ll be good for about 5 minutes, then it will drop me for enough time to throw me off the server I\'m playing on.

Are there some settings I should adjust on either the router or my computer to help this out?

What type of router?  What game?  I have some experience with online gaming on a wireless router.  It would make me feel good to help you out.

Linksys router.  I can\'t play WOW wirelessly at all.  I can\'t even play on Game zone playing spades.  It\'s an 802.11g it has the speed booster too, but I didn\'t install the software on my laptop.  I just let windows configure it.

I had the same problem with my wireless. Here, do this.

1. Go to Control Panel

2. Click Administrative Tools

3. Click on Services

4. Stop the Wireless Zero Configuration

Problem solved.
