My friends mom got winodws xp but she plays Java based games and it needs JAva VM for the audio.  I downloaded the newest installer but it needs an older version to copy over.........I found some sites with older versions but It needs to download another program with it....which I am very Weary of........   does SP2 have java VM????

Microsoft arent allowed to distribute JavaVM anymore.

your best bet is to look up on Sun\'s website

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

is this----> Java HotSpot Server VM the same as Virtual machine??????   all I need is Virtual MAchine....already have J2RE
