But anyways... I too ride upon the apathy bandwagon... If two gay guys get married, I really don\'t care. It is their lifestyle, it is their choice. Marriage is about love, and I don\'t think its right to tell two people that love each other that they can\'t get married. "Civil union" sounds like a lame label, and it just reeks of politics.

Government = THE PEOPLE.  ie- your elected officials, majority rules etc etc.  It seems most of [usa] doesn\'t agree with same sex marriage and it\'s gonig to be that way for a while.  You don\'t like the laws then do something other than complaining on a message board to change them.

Civil unions are fine.  I believe that a homosexual couple should have rights like a married couple, such as hospital visits and shared assets, etc.  Although I do not believe that they should be able to marry.  Marriage is between a man and a women, it\'s tradition, something this country knows little of.

Marriage is between a man and a woman, I have no problem with them being a legal civil union and being recognized as a couple. But marriage is different, I agree with Giga, Gman and Square you just can\'t go and change something like that.

You are wrong on so many levels.  Since the beginning of Western Civilization?  The Greeks and the Romans didn\'t care what color someone was when they took slaves.  

This can also be said of the Dark Ages when those who were not royalty were owned by their lords along with the land they lived on.  Race had nothing to do with it.

Since you are fond of bringing up definitions - look up marriage idiot.  It is defined as being between a man and a woman.  Not "two humans".  Have your civil union and be happy.
