Yeah I see it too.Sony made the gaming industry better while Sega was making it worse.
The DC and its games sucked too.It stopped selling while people bought more PS2s.
Senmue was a bad example in gaming and so was Mark of Kri.DMC2 on the other hand sold more thus its a good example of a game that makes the industry better.
Now I wonder why L-I-C was complaining

Shenmue was released with a DC installed base of almost none, DMC2 was release in a installed base of over 40 millions, wich is 4 times more the overall install base DC ever had.

Shenmue did great sales for the number of DC there was, and did really well on its xbox version.
can\'t see why not!

IIRC the Xbox 2 hardware/development kit is close to final by now, I think those who have access to both can easily tell the difference by now.

That demostration shows nothing. Give me a game being played, then I\'ll care. Until then, these tech demo\'s are just stuff for fanboys to get their pants in a bunch about .

Actually, I think we\'ll see more than just tech demos. Some developers have had the PS3 devkits for months, I think there is a good chance they will be able to show off some nice stuff of ingame gameplay.

I figure internal Sony developers are the once that have come the furthest (Polyphony, ND? I\'d love to see a demo done by the Ico/Shadow guys), perhaps those developers very close to  Sony as well (Konami, perhaps EA?).

We will see. 12 days 4 hours. :)

The show will be shown at midnight where I am (15:00 PST), so I’ll camp up with a nice cup of tea. Got the GameSpot subscription ready so I hope they will be able to show the Sony conference live (I’m a bit worried about that since it takes place outside of the E3 area!).

Someone bytch about DC. thats just not on.

DC has SHIT LOADS of AAA titles, i still play it close to everyday.  I\'ve got more games on my DC then on my ps2 easily.  Dcs downfall was from crappy marketing.

Unic is trying to be sarcastic, I think. I sorta see his point. It\'s like "Britney Spears is popular but she\'s not talented and is ruining the music industry"-- Unicron.

However, Dynasty Warriors, as popular as they are - they don\'t get that much press like Square-Enix or Mario games. They don\'t have that "in your face" advertisements and really, they don\'t need one. It\'s a niche market that Koei has in the bag. I believe I\'m one of two players here that still plays it.

It\'s hardly ruining the gaming industry at all.

Yes I know what you mean and I agree with all of you.

What I posted does not reflect what I truelly believe.I was being sarcastic at L-I-C\'s stupid post who seems to contradict his own self.Your posts also prove L-I-C\'s flawed "logic"

Yes you got my point a bit.
Its not the fact that I hate Dynasty Warriors that made me say that. Its the fact that the sequels are almost 100% identical to each other. Its almost as if you are playing the exact same game.Atleast from what I ve playied.
If they are planning to make another DW atleast make more improvements on the sequels.
But so far I ve seen DW sequels with almost non-existing newer features or improvements between each other

It\'s kinda like Gran Turismo. A few tweaks to the game : new maps, new weapons, new ways to level up, new moves, new characters, more enemies. The latest version has predators attacking you! Freakin\' TIGERS!

But you prefer goats. :)

The basic controls are the same. I mean....it\'s a run and slash game.
