omg, are there actual magazines in existence which dictate such youth sub cultures ?

In a way it is exactly like "mom\'s etiquette book" or

little boxes

It\'s the categorizing mentality, ending up in boxes anyway. Ppl should be trained more to think "outside of the box".

There is no such thing as "emo" music.

They are all just rock bands.

The term "emo" was invented to stereotype the people that listen to a certain kind of rock.

That\'s it.

Eric Clapton - Wonderful Tonight.

About a \'relationship with a girl\'

Eric Clapton, man hes so emo, its the way he uses emotion in his songs - you could say he feeds of his emotion, oh wait one second i have just realised something does all music not come from some sort of emotion? could humans make music without emotion? no they couldn\'t therefore everything is emo according to people who even try and use that term

No dumbass, its normally about failing relationships with girls. Its also incorporated within the punk rock genre. Country and R&B music isn\'t emo.

There\'s also \'screamo\'. (Senses Fail, My Chemical Romance, The Used, Silverstein, etc.)

There are no set definitions, people define emo in their own ways.

The word emo means emotional. I hate it when people try to act like "emo" is a whole new word. It\'s been around for a long time, it\'s just that now everybody uses it. It can be applied to anything.

Where did you get the shield shape from? I\'ve been looking for a shape like that for something I\'m doing. I\'ve tried searching google and nothing quite seemed to match what I wanted. That\'s the closest I\'ve seen.

Well, I was hinting MPtheory towards a style like this :

Of course, if he wants to keep it the way he has it now that\'s good too.

btw. this was a funny movie clip though on what \' is emo \'  We didn\'t have that kind of scrutinizing of any subcultures here in Europe in my high schooltime (1991 - 1996) or maybe I\'m just from another planet...

what = emo videoclip

Im not a big fan of red. I use it at work all the time, but I don\'t use it in personal artwork very often.

I have craploads of vector art.  But I make alot of borders and sheilds myself.  I just use a vector based program called Signlab, then I export my stuff as an EPS and open it in photoshop.  Using vectors gives you nice crisp,  clean edges.

Where can I get it from?

Is it expensive?

one package is about $500 each, but you can get it in segments.. I think you can get a small pack for about $150 - $99.  Or you can just mooch and ask if I have a file I could send you.
