Wrong here.  2nd ammendmant allows Americans (with clean backgrounds) to own a gun.  History teaches us governments can\'t always be trusted.  If the gov is the only entity anywhere in the world able to have a gun then what happens if the gov sh!ts on itself?

Both sides have their points but this is just one story out of the millions of people that have guns.

You and I both know that is outdated, and a highly unlikely scenario for present times. Regardless, even if the government wanted to exert that kind of power, they have much better than guns.

Yes, but there is a huge gap in force from Guns to Sharp Objects / Primitive Slinging devices...

There is absolutley no reason to ban guns. Death is a part of life, and it is very unfortuante.... But the logic of banning guns does not adress the real problem behind people getting killed.

With other words its obvious that the society is full with irresponsible people or people that are willing to kill others yet its fine to "promote" the use of guns amongst them?
It may not adress the "real" problem but it certaintly worsens it

Guns are NOT a part of life.

When the use of guns is permited with such ease people start losing the sense of how dangerous these things are.

Proof?
The fact that someone was practicing gun shooting with other people around (in a neighbourhood if I am not mistaken?).Especially with KIDS around.

Guns usage is something kids should never view for real.

i know one thing..when i was comin up...if you had a fight you would fight with your hands up to a point,...if the said person was starting to lose, either he or his buddy would pull out a small 22 and start squeezin\' off on people....at least that\'s how it was for me back in 87 -88....i\'m older now and i\'m not confrontational like that anymore...one of the reasons being is that alot of people carry guns on them...

anybody can get guns from anywhere...i know i can easily get a gun from newark or east orange right off the block....guns are like drugs and racism.they are here to stay..i also prefer that people not have guns, even with the laws enforced, people are gettin guns through the black market with ease...
