Nintendo\'s last legs?
« on: June 18, 2005, 02:41:47 PM »
I found this on Nintendorks. It\'s frightening for Nintendo, right guys?

Quote
Nintendo has announced that their net profits were quite corpulent this past fiscal year, expanding from 33.19 billion yen to 87.42 billion yen (a.k.a. 809.44 million dollars). Sales of the DS, which have now reached 5.2 million units worldwide, has helped push total sales to 515.29 billion yen (4.77 billion dollars), also an improvement over last year. The Associated Press reports that the company has also been helped by foreign exchange fluctuations, because Nintendo invests in overseas markets where the interest rates are better than Japan.

Nintendo\'s not going anywhere. If they get into a deep enough hole, they can buy their way out at least once. :)

Funny thing is Nintendo doesn\'t even seem to put that much effort into their handhelds...it\'s all a quick fix money scheme as the high priced games go on GameCube,
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Its because they cant put the effort.
About the handheld market:competition was non-existed adn only now there is slight and indirect newborn competition.

You can compare GC sales to Xbox sales...I don\'t think they\'re doing that badly. They\'re in 3rd place, last time I checked, but very close behind.

You know, even though I have all 3 consoles... I\'ll always have a soft spot for Nintendo.  They have made many screwups but have at least always tried something weird and new.

Can you just imagine if the PSP had the touch screen thing happening somehow incl. the great graphics... first person games would have been a joy to play on the PSP.

I am very curious to see what the Revolutions controller is going to look like.  They are keeping things very close to their heart...

Dumbest statement ever.

I didnt explain it because I want you to use your brain for once and discover things for yourself.
