Im really interested in astronomy so i signed up for it, but what career could i get with that? teaching or being a museum person...dont really see me doing that. or NASA which is like..the crazy smart people.
Nothing like engineering or phsycology interests me..biology kind of does, maybe zoology. or the military like my dad did since he couldnt find anything in college.
I like too much random stuff..i pay attention to sports (mainly baseball and football) really closely so i dunno if i should look into that...or where to begin.
Just venting..damn thinking of the future..
any other college people (titan..) go to their college orientation?
Well, I just went to my college orientation at SMU. It was awsome of course, great food(private school food) great teachers and great "daddy\'s girl" blondes just waiting to be exploited!
I signed up for my classes too. I\'m going with a double major in ME and Math and a minor in Spanish and PS. But who knows, I had to choose kinda because the ME program is so long. It helped that I\'m going in with at least 25 credit hours already. So far, I\'m loving it. My earlist class is at 9:30 and every day I\'ll be thru by 2pm! Except on mondays when I\'ll have lab for Intro to ME.
The food is really awsome though. It\'s cooked fresh everyday, fruit, eggs, sausage whatever you want for breakfast. And you actually get to order lunch, like in a restaurant. The dorms I\'m staying in are cool, better than most I suppose.
The only draw back I have about SMU is it\'s lack of spirit. Ever since the school got busted for paying their student athletes and therefore neutering their football program for along time, I want to be part of it all! They just switched divisions so we\'ll be playing schools that are actually known across the country.
Due to the lack of minorities at SMU(I was only one of the five hispanics present at the 150 people orienation) we get to have our own "minority orientation" later on. It wasn\'t bad, the girls seemed really interested in my Spanish actually. They really loved the latin flavvvvooorrrrr. I don\'t blame them.
Also, they are building this sweet new engineering building and this sports recreation building!
Just to show the financial power house that this school is:
http://www.smu.edu/construction/Seriously, we got our own cops, buses to take us all over the city, park, I think a lake, museums and it just keeps going.
On an interesting note, Dr. Phil\'s son is going to be in my "Contemporary Moral Problems" class next year. Hmm, that should be interesting!
GO MUSTANGS!
