Albums that will never die...

Good point, MM.

That said.. I notice a lot of Radiohead\'s OK Computer on here.

It\'s a good example of what MM means. IMO, The Bends is a better album.. but is it more timeless than OK Computer?

Their new album sucked balls and sounds like a cheap imitation of them with none of the attitude that made definitely maybe worth listening to.

Actually Oasis just released a new album that\'s getting great response.

It\'s called "Don\'t Believe The Truth"

They seem to be more at ease as a band.I saw an interview with them and it seems that they let the arrogance and cockyness behind wich is a good thing.

Check out the song "The importance of being Idle"

Marge: Well, you could clean the garage, mow the lawn, paint the house...
Homer: Whoa, Whoa, Whoa. I\'m just trying to get in, not run for Jesus.

you missed the point
"albums that will never die" has to have a majority agreement.

ex.

Michael Jackson\'s thriller

this album will be listened to by billions for decades to come, while Korn entered the closet some time ago.
You\'ve said that twice already. No I didn\'t miss the point. I\'m not the one who listed KoRn as having an album that will never die. I was just commenting on it and I commented because I still think that\'s one of their best albums. And I didn\'t know there was a limit to how old the band needs to be. KoRn has been out for over a decade, but I don\'t think any of their albums, with the style that they have, will stay alive a long time from now. Kind of sucks though that Brian "Head" Welch left the band because he became Christian and that their music was too..."evil" ...or something...I guess. Now he\'s pursuing the kind of music that fits his religion. Bah...

Uh...just did a search...I think this is his new band site: http://www.headtochrist.com

Radiohead has been changing their sound for years. Amnesiac sounds like f^cked up, weird techno or something.

Radiohead has gone to lengths to make sure that they aren\'t seen as "emo"..

The Bends is somewhat emo and certainly 90\'s alternative, but moving on to Kid A and Amnesiac.. quite far off. More like a mysterious Pink Floyd-esque outfit.

This.... coming from a Rush fan?

I\'m speechless

Rush is regarded as a defining band in history. They have been belting out amazing records before you were born.

Dont even compare Korn to Rush.

Anyone with any musical knowledge in their head would agree, liking Rush\'s music or not- at least appreciate them for setting a new standard in music.

I don\'t think they\'ve gone to great lengths to prove anything, they\'ve just done it.

But mm is somewhat correct, as far as mainstream goes, RH is already forgotten. But they\'ll always be a cult favorite.

Bob: "They\'ve just done it"

I think that the band genuinely despises the idea of being holed up in one genre or sub-genre. They\'re proven versatile over the years, and I\'m sure it didn\'t "just happen"...

Maybe you\'re right, because some bands you just have to get used to their sound and then you fall in love with them. And there are bands out there that match that description that even if you don\'t like them you should respect them. So whatever.

Korn though, believe it or not, has been applauded by some classical music composers.
