This is probably the best thing for the Colts. Now instead of keeping their starters in there to go for 16 they can rest them up for the playoffs. Peyton took a beating today and if I was a Colts fan I wouldn\'t want to see two more weeks of that just to go undefeated.

One could make arguments for Carson Palmer and Mike McMahon.

Or, at the very least, Carson Palmer:(

I really think anyone could win the NFC.  The Seahawks keep finding ways to win, which is all that matters.  But they struggled against some pretty crappy teams this year.

The playoffs should be interesting.

like I\'ve said all the time (not here)  the key to the Colts offense is that superb offensive line.  Today it didnt give Manning all day like it usually does and he failed.  If you can\'t overcome a mere 4 sacks you aren\'t very good.   The Chargers played a B game at MOST.   And it wasn\'t like the pass rushers had a straight shot at him.  He had a good 3-4 seconds to get a pass off on the sacks I saw.  He isn\'t use to that kind of pressure.

but If Peyton Manning wins the Super Bowl or plays well in a playoff loss I\'ll get off his back.  He should win the superbowl considering he has by far the most talented team

BTW Kurt Warner was 10-10  with a TD today.  Hows that for playing bad no matter what?

HUH? How is the key the offensive line? He calls the plays. He makes the throws. He calls the audiles. Right-  it is all theoffensive line.

Is he use to pressure? No, but you give no credit to him running this offense. You\'re the only one .

BTW - Arizona lost..To the Texan\'s...Pathetic.

In reference to Carson Palmer - he is good, but he isn\'t *that* good. I want to see if the Bengals can duplicate this season before I jump on the wagon.

I really hope that they don\'t, being in cincy and seeing all the bandwagon fans just pisses me off.  If you\'re going to be a fan, be a fan when they suck too.

(seen about 500 too many palmer jerseys)

Which is a damn shame, because Kitna is a QB who could be great. I think it is sad to see him on a bench wasting his career away. Will he ever match Palmer? No. Could he still be a strong starter for another team? Most certainly...

WHO DEY, DEY DA BENGALS...

Sorry if I don\'t sing the anthem with them, I will wait until I see this happen more than one year. If they can make the playoff run this year and then repeat next year, I think it\'ll be safe to say that the Bengals time has come.

I give him credit for being the good quarterback he is,  but before I say he\'s the best QB in the league he\'s going to have to win something.  An AFC title or Superbowl.   Good QBs do more then just put up stats.  They win games.  Look at Warner when he was at St. Louis.  Look at Tom Brady for the last few years.  Look at Matt Leinart at USC.  These QBs may not be the most accurate or have the strongest arms or put up the best stats but they led their teams to championships.  The only thing Peyton Manning has ever won is the AFC South

the fact u threw a college qb in there destroys any point u ever try and make. We get it, u dont think a player is good until they win something..tired arguement..doesnt take away the fact he has the record for most TD\'s in a season, almost went 16-0, and hes not even 30 yet.

and he does it year after year. warner was only "THE BEST QB EVER!!!" for 3 years..know what? lets look at the stats..

As someone who watched Warner flounder around here for those games we gave him, PLEASE don\'t tell me he\'s the one who wins big games.  Hell, the key to his teams was the O-Lines.  Peyton is the key to the Colts team.

As for Palmer, the only QB I could see people arguing is better this year, he still has a lower QB rating and fewer wins.  And he is less a part of what his team does than Peyton is for the Colts.  No player is more important to their team than Manning.

I was at the Bears game last night with Jar O Pickles.

We froze our balls off, but had a great time.

I was sporting my Rex Grossman jersey. When they benched Orton and brought Rex in the whole stadium just went nuts, it was awesome.
