Don\'t you dare compare the Patriots to the Yankees.  I despise them with a passion.  Here\'s a key difference, everyone is on even playing ground in the NFL, the size of your pocket does not dictate success in the NFL.  In fact the Patriots are kind of the opposite, they get rid of players every year because of money issues, and yet they seem to retain the talent that was lost.

As far as exciting goes.  Yeah, they\'re pretty methodical, they don\'t go crazy.  The offense isn\'t explosive, but they\'re smart.  A conservative offense does not turnover the ball as much.  That\'s not to say I don\'t get any excitement at all from watching them, I get plenty excited, 19 game winning drives in the 4th quater under Tom Brady... that\'s pretty exciting.

broncos vs patriots is probably going to be the best game next week. Outside of that game, LIC hit it right on the head..i get bored as hell watching the patriots. I like the coaching/strategy part of football, but thats all they do..theres no excitement in what they do. And the 3 minute game winning drives that brady does IS exciting..but thats like talking about basketball..2 hours of boredom followed by the last 3 minutes of excitement..not worth it.

anyway, back the the broncos/patriots. Broncos have the upperhand because theyre rested, and have played better throughout the season. BUT, plummer\'s never really showed up in the playoffs, belichek has never lost to a team in the playoffs that beat them in the regular season, brady is nuts in the playoffs, dillon always ends up with 2 TD\'s even if he has 30 yards, theyre front 7 is back to their superbowl form, al wilson has a cast on, darrent williams said hes "60%"..pretty anxious for the broncos to get their running game going.

colts should beat the steelers by 17

bears over carolina by 7

seattle over washington by 14

for fans sake..denver over patriots by 7

Despite what you said, they are the Yankees of the NFL.  People tire of them and grow to hate them the same way people do of the Yankees.

Don\'t get so offended by the comparison to the Yanks, by the way.  Spew all the hateful Yankee comentary you want.  There is no greater flattery in sports than to have everyone else hate you.

And no, you don\'t offer more to players and get them to abandon their teams, leaving them high and dry, scrambling to fill the voids left.  You just do that with coaches.  Yes, I hold grudges for a while.

You could not be more clueless, everyone agree\'s. The Patriots are the Yankee\'s, people are tired of them.

I\'m not buying the Yankees comparison. The Yankees are hated not only because they win but because they spend so much and make the game less competitive.

I don\'t see how you can hate a team for being good. Especially when every team starts off on the same level. That is just hate for the sake of hating.

Maybe you can\'t read - but people have stated why they don\'t care for the Patriots. I\'m sure if you actually take the time, look back, you\'ll notice all the reasons that have been listed.

I really don\'t care about the NFC because the superbowl champions will come out of the AFC. The seahawks are so overrated. Their easy schedule help them much.

I am hoping the redskins pound them to the ground. And for all you chicago fans the bears suck. They have no offense. They are the lowest scoring team in the nfl. And don\'t go comparing them to the past tampa and raven teams.

Because those team were good. And they would shit all over the bears.

The Bears suck huh? Have you even seen them this year? The defense is SUFFOCATING.

It\'s really easy to generalize and just say whatever ESPN tells you eh?

You don\'t have to score too much when you hold your opponent to around 13 points a game.

I thought people watched these games to, I don\'t know, be ENTERTAINED.  You have no affiliation with the team outside of whatever is going on in your head (which after reading some of your posts is quite fucked up).

uhm..kyle orton? they had to play with their backup all year..AGAIN. Then they put in grossman and his first completion was like 20 yards. He opens the field and hes only played 4 er so games. And they have a 1300 yard running back who was hurt a few games so they have the running game..and thats with kyle orton at qb so defenses could put 8 guys in the box and not worry about them going deep. Now they have a qb that can throw.

And they won all those games with that crappy offense led by kyle orton which shows they have a top 5 defense.

meaning..the only way it seems the bears are guaranteed to lose is if grossman turns the ball over..if he has a good game, they will win..if he has a bad game, theyre defense gives them a real good chance of pulling out a win.
