Basically, this team has the same problem they always have. They\'re too soft. Manning didn\'t have the time he was accustomed to, and it clearly got to him. He is one of the smartest QB\'s in the league, but if you don\'t have time to think, that means nothing. The Colts won all year by dictating the pace of the game on offense. It\'s what they were known for. The Steelers dictated the pace when the Colts were on offense, and that\'s why they won.

That much is true - but ask the Mannin\' haters and it\'s because he "choked". Which isn\'t the case. It\'s simply a matter of he wasn\'t playing what he is use to and that is the Colt\'s dictating the pace. Fact is, none of that offensive line is use to it.

not too confident..the broncos get 7 yards just fine but struggle getting first downs, their secondary is getting picked apart..

foxworth is useless as a second string CB..i didnt think darrent williams injury would bite them in the ass. They need to sign someone like dre bly..i guess ricky manning is the only worth-while free agent corner

just ridiculous..i said that in the first quarter and they didnt adjust at all..4th quarter comes and theres still no pressure and guys wide pen 30 yards down the field every fucking time. Cant even imagine them playing the colts if the steelers are able to pass on them at will.

Like I said... The Panthers blew their wad last week.

Steve Smith is a bitch and Jake Delhomme is a dork.

(Yeah, I\'m still bitter about last week).

Oh and, there are HUGE rumors here in Chicago about how the Bears GM had a "meeting" with TO last week.

Granted, just rumors at this point but, man, that would be insane.

i wouldnt go that far. Definitly not an elite QB though. He had a solid year. Kind of tough when your run oriented offense only gains 30 yards from each running back (most of tatum\'s came at the end when they had no chance) so theres more to it than being a crappy qb..they dont have an explosive gameplan to teach plummer.

Or are u talking about delhomme?

Im confident in him next season if the broncos make an offense thats not as conservative.

McNabb wasn\'t a good enough QB for Owens.  Owens wasn\'t getting enough balls thrown his way.

Grossman is the quarterback in Chicago.
Chicago runs the ball, and also has other options in the passing game.  That situation would get ugly fast.

TO is in no position to demand anything right now.  Maybe he\'ll realize that when he sees how much smaller the contract offers are.  Besides, any contract he\'s given at least should have a clause dealing with what happens if he pulls this shit again.

I tend to agree.

I\'m not sure if I want TO on the Bears really.

On one hand... he\'s damn good.

On the other hand... he can tend to be a jackass.

Speaking of jackasses, screw the panthers.

And everything shock said is probably very true.

I see two possible destinations for TO... Atlanta or Dallas.  Vick has no one to throw to in Atlanta, and Dallas has been a pass-first team as of late.

Who was the other commmentator? He looked like they peed on his leg when they said Plummer (or was it Delhomme?) was elite. He said "Ya\'ll are crazy!" And he looked genuinely insulted when he said it.

And Boomer Esiason during the half time break said "Plummer is just aweful!" or something like that. I couldn\'t believe it. Usually he\'s more reserved with his comments.

whelp congrats gman!..even tho i\'m not a big fan of the steelers, i really don\'t hate them either...great job against the broncos...as for the seattle and panther game,...wtf happened to the panthers?..:(...delhomme played like garbage....i guess since seattle knew the running game was finished, all they had to do was to key in on the passing game. still, if smith is getting triple teamed somebody has gotta step up and get open.

i saw smith yellin\' at the offensive coord. during the game. the commentator stated that it was due to him not getting the ball, if that was the case, he shouldn\'t be complaining at all. if you\'re covered like that you are not going to get any balls your way. Well add to the fact delhomme played like s**t.

somebody mentioned a comment about elite qb\'s... i\'m sorry but plummer is not what i\'d call elite,..neither is delhomme...the only qb\'s of this gen that i\'d probably call elite is either brett or manning....(i think big ben and palmer are on their way)..but besides those two, i haven\'t really seen a marino, a montana, or an elway...

Smith is a short version of Owens.

Delhomee is a hack QB who made it this far due to his offensive line doin\' the job for him.

John Fox is an ignorant coach . Look back the last time they was in the Superbowl and his dumbass idea to keep goin\' for two point conversions. He is arrogant and ignorant.

I loved see\'ing the Panthers get spanked, espically after Young and Irvin called Delhomee an "Elite QB". Yeah, right.

The Panthers have been a one dimensional time all year and without that runnin\' game, they was screwed. Throw two people on Smith and guess what, no one else is goin\' to step up and let the passin\' game be succesful. No running game and no passing game, equals certain failure.

As for Jake "No Mistake" Plummer, no comments. I doubt he\'ll ever be a great QB, he\'ll be a decent one at that is it. Still, you can\'t lay all the blame on him, after all, it was the Denver defense that was letting the Steelers march down the field and usually it was on friggin\' 3rd and 9 or 3rd and 5. It was one conversion after another.

Both those games was pathetic, when you consider they was championship games.

Oh and I\'m callin\' it now, the Steelers will win it all.

As for Clips - Elite QB\'s playing today..

Farve
Brady
Manning

I don\'t equal rings with success, as that comes down to the whole team. An elite QB needs to be able to run that offense, read coverage, make plays, run the two mintue drill and not panic . I know some will argue that Manning doesn\'t fit into that, but I think he does and if he doesn\'t yet  - he most certainly will in the next few years. Brady and Farve already are in that catergory.

Palmer? No. I doubt he ever will be. He\'s good, no doubt, but I think the Bengals will fall apart after this year\'s dissapointment. Not to mention the long term effects of Palmers injury, he could end up being another Pennington. One injury after another.

Rothlisberger, if he continues to play like he has the last two years, then he is almost guranteed a spot in the elite QB section. At two years, he has already been to two championship games and now a superbowl. He doesn\'t panic and he does read coverage and make changes when needed. Most of all, he doesn\'t make stupid plays.

If being a hack coach means you can take a 1-15 team and almost instantly turn them into a perenial contender, then I\'ll take that hack coach and day.  John Fox is one of the NFL\'s better coaches.  It\'s easy to point at one game and say someone sucks, but look at how they dismantled teams in the playoffs the previous two weeks.  It\'s not his fault his top 3 RB\'s were injured.

Neither Jake is an elite QB, no problem.  However, Rothlisberger is certainly getting there.  He\'s shown so much poise and won so much already, and now the Steelers are really starting to allow him to show what he can do.

As for Palmer, he\'s not going to be like Pennington.  Palmer tore his ACL and MCL.  Pennington\'s problems have been different.  He\'s always lacked the strength of most NFL QB\'s, and that has contributed to his injuries.  There is no reason to think that Palmer is injury prone.  It was just a one time thing, so far.  He did have a great season though, and there\'s no reason to believe that he can\'t continue to build on it.  He\'s still young, and he was 2nd in the league in QB rating.  He just needs to win a little more, and continue as he has, and that\'ll come in time for what is an improving team.

And Favre certainly wasn\'t an elite QB this year, what with that 70.9 QB rating, lower than Anthony Wright, Kyle Boller, Joey Harrington, and Brooks Bollinger, among others.
