The Rooney\'s may be one of the best owners in the business. Who else would of stuck with their staff during those troublesome years? No one would of. Hell, I love my Colt\'s, but even the Colt\'s organization is scrambling to blame someone over their post-season failures. The Rooney\'s understand something about the game and that is a championship isn\'t won easy. A championship requires years of dedication to a staff. Stick with the right staff and you may just get there one day.

You can say whatever you want to about this superbowl....But here are a few things.

1: I\'m not a Steelers fan, but I can apperciate what a workhorse Jermone \'The Bus\' is. The Colt\'s didn\'t make it there, but I can certainly settle for see\'ing a future Hall-of-Famer goin\' out on such a high note.

2: I\'m glad to see Bill get the monkey off his back and the Rooney\'s get "one for the thumb".

3: Steelers won\'t repeat. They are losing the Bus and they have WAY to many free agents now.. All the more reason they needed to win it all this year.

Now, movin\' on into the off-season....We all know James will not be back for the Colt\'s and Shaun Alexander most likely will not return to the Seahawks. That\'s two great RB\'s on the market...Not to mention Randle El will also be a free agent and I doubt the Steelers can afford to sign him after the massive contract that Hines Ward struck.

Yep. Steelers at this point are $4.5 million over the cap. Once Randle El is gone (among others), the Steelers will have to pick a good yet inexpensive replacement. That\'s the name of the game these days.

The Rooneys know about losing streaks. Hell, they went through 40+ years of losing streaks before they won their first Superbowl. With Cowher getting to the playoffs more consistenly than other coaches, why fire him? Winning at the playoff level and the Superbowl level is tough as hell. The Rooneys appreciate success, even if not exactly winning the Superbowl.

The Rooneys enjoy the game for what it is.

i never cared for randle el, he\'s a whiner

they need to dump deuce too, and pick up a big back.  haynes wont amount to much.

most of the free agents i can see sticking around.  chance at another superbowl with a great team > slightly more money

Randle El might get picked up by the Bears. I was hoping the Redskins would get him, since having only one good receiver, Santana Moss, is not enough.

Deuce? He played a few games this year but that was it. What\'s his injury again? For a big guy, he sure is delicate.

It\'s looking like Randle El to The Bears is gonna happen.

I\'ll take him. We need someone to throw too besides Moose "droppings" Muhammed.

Heh, that\'s what they call him here... Moose Droppings.

funny!

You know who led the NFL in drops this year?

Yup.

Then you know who blamed the drops on the QB?

Yup.

Screw Moose.

Man, I\'m glad it\'s not another team in the Steelers division. The Bengals and Ravens are going to be a huge factor next year. If the Browns pick up another talent, the Steelers might be in for a long ass beat down of a season.

I know what you are saying, but what I was saying is the fact that the Rooneys are one of the only owners that actually trust their staff to get there. The other organizations would jump ship in no time, look no further than Herman Edwards and the Jet\'s situation. Or hell, even the Colt\'s after the post season failure.

Bengal\'s won\'t be a factor next year. Palmer will come back, he won\'t be a 100 percent and they won\'t repeat. I think you could see the melt down happening before the Kimo shot to Palmer. Infact, I will go as far as to say, that C. Johnson will hold them back with his antics and ego, just like whomever picks up T.Owens will be held back in the longterm.

It certainly wouldn\'t hurt for them to pick him up. At this point, they need to add to that offense, espically in the wide receiver department.

Maybe and maybe not. It all depends on who jumps ship. If a few good players jump ship, the rest will be smart enough to know it\'s goin\' to be another long rebuilding season. Those free agents know that their stock went up after they won that Superbowl.

Oh and one final quote, I stole this one from an ESPN article about the Seahawk\'s rally at home...

"We won in our hearts," said Horgan, 15. "We\'re still No. 1."

That\'s all that matters, sweetie. In my heart, I\'m the queen of friggin\' England.

wonder how this will turn out..

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2323121

theisman was alright..but surrounded by 2 of the stupidest old people..and he said "i talked to blah blah blah and he said blah blah blah" every time.

Think the black dude did MLB commentating and wasnt bad..but seemed more of an announcer that would do day-time games.

The white guy from pardon the interruption im skeptical about it. I love PTI, but i see this guy debating/joking around with the other guy more than commentating.

I really like Kornheiser too.  I think as a third guy in the booth, he could add a really interesting view.  It\'s a little out of his element, but I like the choice.  If nothing else, I\'ll be happy to see how it plays out.

And as for the other two, I like Tirico better than Theismann.

Where is Madden headed to?

I know the Fox and CBS packages aren\'t changing, and NBC has Sunday night football, which they\'re gonna market more now.  Could one of them be headed there?

Yeah, a quick google search answered that.  Madden is gonna be with NBC.  NBC wanted Michaels too, but it doesn\'t look like anything\'s done yet.
