I\'m afraid you are getting yourself all worked up to be hugely let-down.  Keep your expectations low.... remember who we are talking about here.

Maybe Ninja Gaiden spoiled me, but I didn\'t find much to like about this game but the graphics.  Kameo is just a little  mundane.  Don\'t let this dissuade you, I\'m not much for platformers.

Graphics are good, and the little animations of the main characters are really great (think the first time you got a hold of a N64 and ran around with mario).
Language services three functions. The first is to
communicate ideas. The second is to conceal ideas. The
third is to conceal the absence of ideas.

And remember when no one cared about Kameo when it was on Cube lol.

That\'s an interesting point. A lot like the first reviewer, my expectations of this game have done a complete 180. It never appealed to be pre-Cube. But just last weekend I reserved my copy for X360.

It\'s either gotten much better or the X360 lineup just stinks. Maybe somewhere in the middle. ;]

wow, I just looked at the pictures in that link and was not impressed with the graphic much.  It looks like something XBOX can do...well, maybe better than original XBOX graphic wise, but not by a great leap...

Fable 2.0...lol...this game has been in existance before "Project Ego".

Madden got 8.0 from Ign. Now that is lol.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

You mean like Shadow of the Colussus average (also a 8.7), which you people seem to be raving about in the main forum?  Or the entire PS2 launch lineup with the exception of SSX didn\'t get in the 9.0 ranges?

Seriously, as launch lineups go, there are usually better than average scores handed out(8.x\'s) with a title or two getting exceptional reviews.

Your above post has nothing to do with the fact that Kameo got a 8.7. It is not a sequel or remake. It is another platform style game from Rare.

Alright - so everything is a remake now, \'cept for the ICO-pseudo sequel.;)

Or...Originality now allows a game to get "average" scores and be great.

Makes sense, I guess...

Not that I care, I won\'t pick up Kameo ever  due to lack of interest. Same with the ICO -pseudo sequel.

;)

Then again, I can be just perfectly content with a sequel as long as I think it\'s fun. Infact, bring on Fable 2.0!

What are you getting at with your first sentence?

If you want to go further back and look at all console launches then I\'m confident that the same will ring true for all of them, that is there are a handful of average games, several better than average, and usually one or two exceptional games.

lol, "pseudo sequel" means made by the same dev?

i guess being that they are both in the "adventure" game genre, that makes them similar.

as a gamer, you are heavily missing out by not playing SOTC.

kameo?  you\'ve played it before on several systems just with lesser graphics.
