I think what avatarr meant by useless without the security videos is that he is trying to say that the security video is a very useful evidence for the victim, which is the girl and also to shows you how stupid the manager and her fiance can be.  And the proof is in the tape.

Without the tape, I think you wouldn\'t have the proof to convince other what happened to that girl, and it will be hard to convince other how stupid the woman and her fiance can be.
