lol, I believe some have gone bad but it\'s just funny that the 4 friends of mine that bought one all have had 0 problems yet probably every last person you\'ll ever talk to will have a broken one.  And I\'d think more people would be used to stuff like this by now with all the problems the ps2 had.

Ouch. They need to fix this problem ASAP. I\'m glad I cancelled my pre-order. I\'ve decided not to buy the first batch of consoles anymore.

boz, check any media outlet

it\'s a widespread problem, can\'t sugarcoat it.  360 got rushed and now it\'s rearing its ugly head

XBOX360 sure didnt change gaming then

Unless your are one of these stupid fanboys thats kiss the ass of a certain brand of console like it is god. Console gaming has become boring. No new games. Just the same old fluff.

Thats my point

I bet there are people who can\'t wait for the same old gta,ff,Mgs,Halo.ect..... I do remember when people went crazy over the launch of a console. Ps2 had that kind of buzz. But I don\'t see ps3 coming anywhere close to having the amount of buzz that ps2 had. [/B]

They cant wait to see the next gen versions of these games actually. And when I say next gen I mean REAL next gen.

Quote

What are you talking about??? It\'s on the news constantly and every store in my area had 50-100 people camping outside of it to get one but thats "no much fuzz" (english?)

It\'s not surprising though that theirs been errors happening. All my friend\'s xboxs are working great but with how much they rushed the launch it\'s to be expected (though it should never be).

You mean just in the US?

I ve also heard that there are stores with few XBOX360\'s sitting on shelves.

And the stores that are sold out only had few shipped at them.

Also about MS doing the same thing with 360 just like Sony did with the PS2 to increase hype is kind of false.Thats just speculation. It mostly makes the same people that wanted the console from the beginning more impatient.
From a business standpoint it has to do more with cost minimization.

More console horsepower = newer innovations in gameplay (well, at least the possibility anyway). Obviously there\'s going to be many regurgitated storylines, gameplay, etc., but new technology gives developers more possibilities to expand on with their imagination. I haven\'t really played games that much this year. I\'m not into as much as I used to be. Hopefully something will spark my interest again this coming generation.

no, it\'s common sense
they knew the demand wasn\'t there, so they had to create it artificially.

The only new system that hasn\'t had a massive problem in awhile has been the Nintendo Gamecube. With the PS2\'s it was the drives, same problem with the Xbox. Now the 360 looks to have a power supply problem. While I\'m not a fanboy, it seems to me, the only company that truly knows how to build a solid system would be Nintendo. I have NEVER had a problem with a Nintendo console (well, \'cept the original NES design). I remember my Super NES actually got left on a furnance and melted most of it and it STILL worked. HA! Take that new consoles.

P.S - Techincal problems is the price you pay for being an early adopter!

sony did it too with the PS2 yet I never heard you laugh that up

It\'s just a business tactic

And LIC has it right, don\'t know why it has to be this way but a lot of early systems are built poorly.  mm, I never denied the problem I just don\'t know if it\'s as bad as some try to make it.

Kids used to leave their Game Boy systems out in the snow for the winter, find it in the spring and it\'d turn on.

And I\'m at ease. I just played PD0 and Kameo (which so far, I like less) for probably 3 hours and there was no problem.

I hooked up Live, too. It\'s cool, it stays connected all the time and tells you when anyone on your list signs on. You can send and receive voice mail and text msgs too.

I hope Tetris works on it, but maybe I can find someone to play PD0 co-op with...

Neat.

Downloaded a funny Xbox trailer for free on marketplace, too.

I but I\'ve been lucky, first gen playstation and first gen ps2 both still going strong. Hell my dog peed in my ps2 and it\'s still working.

No, that was me. I just blamed the dog.

I was completely prepared to buy an Xbox this week, but all this has made me back away.
