I finally got the chance to see them Saturday. It was my first death metal show but it was an awesome experience I want to go again. I crowd surfed, but I also got elbowed in the teeth.

When I find my camera Ill show the shirt I wore to the show.

BTW, if you aren\'t cool this is Gwar:

I saw gwar in 1991.... they disemboweled a t-rex and audience volunteers came tumbling out, covered in blood & guts.

It was rad.

and by t-rex I don\'t mean this:

sevendust still plays? i thought they disappeared after their one song that made it big..praise er something..i thought their singer was kick ass but the guitars were pretty generic.

i want to see mudvayne again. Only time i saw them they were still kinda caught up in the makeup and preaching for 6 minutes between every single song. Doubt they come to san diego though. Every damn band skips here and goes straight to LA.

I love people that complain about the fake thugs in hip-hop and then go to a Dungeons & Dragons concert.

Not talking about you, Vivi. Just saying.

Sevendust had a couple big songs other than Praise, just none maybe as big.  And yea, the band definitely revolves around Lajon.  I love some of their slower songs but all they did was rock out the whole show including a tribute to dimebag who was killed here in Columbus a year ago to the day either yesterday or today.

As for Mudvayne, I\'m not a diehard fan or anything but I always seem to end up at their shows in Columbus.  I\'ve been to two and they killed it on both.  The first with Summer Sanitarium they weren\'t dressed up or anything but this time with them being the headliner Chad came out in a clown outfit with some face makeup and the other guys all had different shit on too.  But they didn\'t preach any and infact there was no pauses between any of the songs.

Personally - I hate it when bands are so into the outfit gimmicks. They should concentrate on the music, not their new \'look\'.

I last heard Mudvayne was dropping the outfits- but I guess not. LD50 was a kick ass album, as a matter of fact I\'m going to listen to it right now.
