Computer troubles, oy!
« on: December 26, 2005, 02:14:17 PM »
On my second computer, I have no idea what happened- but it will no longer start up. Im not sure if my little brother was fidgeting with settings or what- but its fucked.

It gets to the white \'Windows 2000\' loading screen (Blue progress bar at bottom), and once it finishes loading - freezes. I have tried letting it load overnight (it is a rather old comp), but nothing.

I am ab-so-lute-ly lost... could someone please help me.

Thank you very much.

It would have been handy if you had made a bootable floppy disk to avoid having to go into Windows to solve any problems.

Maybe try some other memory dimms and boot up in safe mode.

Maybe it\'s a Cmos problem also.

Memory dimms?

erm...

I did put more memory in it recently. It was working fine for a couple weeks. I\'ll try taking the RAM out...
