I liked it. And the second one.

DK64. That was terrible.

A lot of people liked Jet Force Gemini, but I couldn\'t get into it.

I agree with Blade on the rest. Then there was Blast Corps and Mario Kart, too. The first Turok. The wrestling games. Mario Tennis.

N64 was cool. ;]

Just go on IGN and check out the 10/9/8-reviewed games.

For a "failure" of a system, it had a lot of quality titles. Almost all 1st/2nd-party.

Hey, did you do something to your name? All I can see are diamonds instead of letters except for S and G.

Here\'s an update on the handheld front:

Quote
Japan: New Mario Quickly Nears 1 Million Units
6/2/2006, 3:50pm Eastern Time

Brain Training has been a consistent performer on the Japanese sales charts, but a new classic is back on top.

New Super Mario Bros. followed up record-setting opening day numbers of 480,000 units by selling just under 900,000 units in its first week of release. At 899,518 copies, New Super Mario Bros easily outperformed the remainder of the top 10 selling games for the week: Mario\'s new platformer sold more than double the number of units of the remaining top 10 games combined.

DS Lite sales continued to dominate the hardware chart, taking advantage of Mario\'s success by selling over 285,000 units compared to 27,227 for Sony\'s PSP. DS games held six of the top 10 spots overall, with Brain Training 2 and Brain Training rounding out the top three.

Bad week for that PSP thing. DS outsold it ten to one.

PSP needs some games that resemble more of the simplicity we used to get in the past. I think thats one of the big problems with it.

But what PSP gets are the same console games we get on PS2. The experience doesnt feel as well on a handheld.

For example a Klonoa game would have been great on PSP probably an even better choice than Daxter.

DS succeeds so well because it offers just that. The old time classic Super Mario Bros gameplay is the best platform game money can get on a handheld. It fits so perfectly.

Simple and direct are what makes handheld gaming different and great.

Trying to get current and complicated console experience into a handheld just doesnt work well.

That really is true. I have GTA: LCS for PSP, but after a couple missions, I just didn\'t want to play anymore. It offered nothing over its console brethren and the controls weren\'t as good.

IGN rated it high, but maybe because the game gets better... It just never hooked me. One day I should try again.......

Hate to say it, but I gotta go with Uni on this one. Handheld games just don\'t lend themselves to the 3D experience or even the more lenghty games. This applies to any handheld, just like Mario 64 DS, I could not get get into, just because I can\'t bring myself to play a 3D game on a handheld for a long period of time. Simple and effective, that is the key to a portable system and portable games.  Sony overshot the target with the PSP.

Kolona 2, now that was a classic. The GBA games wasn\'t bad either. But what Sony really needs is something along the lines of the portable Castlevania series. All four of them have rocked hard on the Nintendo platforms and I would almost gurantee that the soon to be fifth will also be a hit.

Oh yes! Castlevania is one game I want desperately to see on the PSP. Worked great on the PS1 with Symphony of the Night. I see no reason why it wouldnt work on PSP.

Besides if they want to use PSP\'s capabilities they can use 3D bakrounds just like Capcom VS SNK, with 2D sprite characters with some pretty good effects on Castlevania.

Quote from: Blade
In no particular order: Zelda:OoT, Mario 64, GoldenEye, Mario Kart 64, Banjo-Kazooie.

Just my personal top 5. I\'m leaving out stuff like Conker, Perfect Dark, Star Fox 64, etc.

I agree with that top 5 completely. Loved Majora\'s Mask too...dunno if I\'d put that above Banjo though.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.
