It\'s a good design. However, it\'s not that smart to market this thing as "DS lite".

Ppl will possibly perceive this as a \'lower spec\' machine.

That is cooler looking. I\'ll have to resist, though. Got better things to blow money on.

If you don\'t have a DS, though, get one.

Funny thing is when this was rumored, Nintendo kinda denied the redesign was coming, only to say that they\'re always redesigning their hardware in general.

^Lol. Design & redesign is often about subtle changes but with marginally large
audience/consumer reactions to it.

If I\'m not mistaken the factual specs
list this version is not bulky like the original DS.

It\'s lighter by a  few grams.  And it\'s white. The only improvement I\'ve read is that ths screen is brighter than the original DS.

From the looks of it, other changes include a narrower overall dimension and the thing is flatter than the original.
