*gasp* Sucks? C\'mon not even you are that critical.

I have been listening to 10,000 days nonstop since I acquired it...

My first 100 listens I was kind of dissappointed, but still liked the material.

Then I realised how great this album really is. It has grown on me so much, I don\'t think I have listened to anything else - or I have, but only decided to change it back to 10,000 days. Honestly, my favorite TOOL work to date. This album is so different, its another side of TOOL. This album has much more subtle effects than any other album, definetley something you should listen to full blast.

I can\'t wait until its actually released, the artwork tool includes with all of their releases is just a treat as the music :)

Music has to grab me. I am not going to make myself listen to something twenty times to either "get it" or what not. The album is extremyl dissapointing.

ok, listening to the new TOOL now... not sure what to think.  I like the music, but why the fuck does Maynard scream unintelligable shit the whole time.  Dude has one of the best voices i\'ve ever heard, this is a letdown so far.

Jambi is pretty good.  It\'s definately TOOL though, people holding out that this is fake are dumb... although I wish it was :(

so you don\'t like any of the songs?

Jambi, right in two, the pot are all good... need to listen to more of this.  I\'m liking it so far.  The first batch of songs I heard weren\'t the real songs.

I don\'t think I liked any of my very favourite albums after listening to them once.

Truely great albums require multiple listens to be enjoyed to their fullest. L-I-C, I expect you should know this.

Having said that, I haven\'t listened to this album yet. Waiting until I buy it.

i agree man. Sometimes i do have to listen to things 3 times MAX to get into it, and then i realize is a great album. But this whole "their brains are too complex and i had to listen to it 40 times to realize how brilliant they are" following tool seems to have is kind of annoying. Not saying u specifically, (e).

Im still going to give the album a chance, maybe borrow it from my friend and listen to it a couple times.

Eh?
My favorite albums are ones that I enjoyed from the start.

I\'ll give it another listen or two, but I won\'t continue to listen to it just so I "grasp" it and enjoy it. That\'s silly. The music and lyrics all lack the impact I expect from TOOL.

I\'ve found albums I enjoyed immediately lost their appeal much more quickly than those that required multiple listens.

My very favourite albums, such as Kid A (Radiohead) and Remain in Light (Talking Heads) were majorly underwhelming at first listen.

After several listens I can say that I enjoy this album quite a bit.  It\'s different from their past albums, but that\'s nothing new.  Listening to this CD cranked or with headphones brings out all these cool ambient and background voices.  Tons of production value... 7/10 in my book

I stopped listening to it for a couple of days, suddenly felt the need to dig up some old Primus stuff.

But starting to listen to the album again I relised.... I like the album still haven\'t gotten into the Wings songs but my previously mentioned songs are very good.

I\'m with LiC on this one.  I\'m no hardcore Tool fan, but I know what I like and a cd with 2 or 3 good songs doesn\'t make the overall product great.  Sorry, but this is dissapointing considering their last few albums were really damn good.
