Not going to make a thread about boasting but..i can finally play laid to rest from lamb of god w00t,lol. Took me sooo damn long to get the intro/verse down. After the first 6 notes i couldnt remember what the hell to do next.

Placebo - Meds (check out \'Space Monkey\')

Glad to Placebo back on track. I loved \'Without you, I\'m nothing\', hated \'Black Market Music\' and thought \'Sleeping with Ghosts\' was decent. This album takes the best of \'Without you, I\'m Nothing\' and \'Sleeping With Ghosts\' and mixes them. Great album.

Also gave a listen to Rob Zombie - Educated Horses, and like every other Rob Zombie album, it sucked. Only difference is, this one sucked more than usual.

MP3Search.ru has provided me with quite a few new albums to listen to.

As for Matisyahu being a gimmick, I tend to agree. Then again, I think Rammstein is a gimmick also. Just not a fan of either, espically Rammstein.

being awesome,lol.

the flames and pyros i guess can be seen as a gimmick. Plus they dress gimmicky. Not really sure about their personalities, but visually i could see how someone saw them as a gimmick.

You guys say it like its a bad thing..as long as they make good music, and you like it, i dont see the harm in it. Differentiates you from the rest in a business where its impossible to get signed, let alone become popular to the mass population.

well..because of what people around us do to be "individuals." Like punk fags that dress up and spend millions at hot topic, even though they hate capitalism who claim their individuals when in reality their posing fags. The word "individualist" has lost its meaning and has become a gimmick.

a gimmick itself has no value, like slipknot\'s masks and stuff. But i like their music. Havent listened to them for a while and LOG kind of..demolished them so i dont like them anywhere near as much as i used to.

yea, lamb of god.

I dont think they actually talk about god. Any reference to god iv seen is just talking about the fall of civilization and whatnot and how we\'ve failed. The vocalist is a drunky anyway,lol.

maybe they did when they first started..i never payed attention to them until ashes of the wake came out. If i were a band and had an oppurtunity to join a tour, id let the tour be about barney for all i care,lol. Im not really sure if their band name and their "meaning" have any correlation though..

Not a big LoG fan either , so sue me.

Rammstein\'s gimmick would be the flames and outfits. I doubt they would ever got half as succesful without those two things. The guy whose name I can\'t spell, his gimmick is being a jew.
