Finally got Rock Band, I\'m set for at least 3 months.
You know, as much as I enjoy Rock Band, at the same time it is a total disappointment for me. I bought it on launch night and have had problems with everything except the mic. My guitar strum broke within a week of playing, the drum pads almost never register and I can\'t get them to calibrate on time with my LCD monitor, so it makes drumming impossible. Then there is the fact that World Tour Mode isn\'t online, so I\'m forced to do it with my wife , who will only do the MIC and doesn\'t want to move past medium, so now, we\'ve maxed out the fans we can get on medium and pretty much given up on the game. Every once in awhile I get an urge, pick it up and play it, and I\'m sure when the NiN song pack comes out March 18th I\'ll be back for awhile, but as a whole, I think it\'s a big expensive disappointment.
Great game, yeah. Could it of been better? Most certainly. Maybe I am just miffed that I paid that much at midnight and got shitty hardware, but I just can\'t get over the quality control issues. It pains me, it really does, as I friggin\' love the guitar sections in Rock Band (as opposed to the insane ones introduced in Guitar Hero III ).
With all that said, I\'m playing the classics. A little Ninja Gaiden Trilogy here, some Dracula X there and just for fun, some Killer Instinct.
