Correction. No Memory Stcik/SD/Compact Flash slots....HOW ON EARTH AM I GOING TO MOVE MY SAVED FILES OVER A FRIEND IF I GET THE 499 ONE? :mad:

Why would they, really.  Even the \'core\' system will have an HDD for saves, I assume any slot would just be there for loading old PS and PS2 games onto the PS3 for playing (like you\'ll be playing any old games for a while) :D

Just do it at a friends, and then copy, copy, copy!

You can\'t with the $600 version anyway.

Then no worries at all!  Since it has an HDD, wait for a device to download saved from PS2/PS mem cards, or wait for the saves to hit the net and copy copy copy!

Oh man I can\'t wait to buy an obscure device to connect my memory card to my PC just because sony didn\'t give their new console memory card slots.

Cant I save something on it and move it to another console? I can do this with my Digital Camera\'s mem stick :confused:

So whats the use of a mem stick/sd/compact Flash anyways then?

I ll have to buy a 599 PS3 to be able to exchange saves via a mem stick with friends

Well, if you have the means to connect your memory card to your PC and then transfer the file to the PS3 HD, it might be possible.

PAL ppl already paid about 550 euros for the PS2 at it\'s november 2000 launch. 500 euros for PS3 would be considered slightly cheap.
