The first 5 million or so will sell regardless. Sony has enough fans willing to shell out the money to own the new Playstation. The thing is that Sony\'s sales have always taken off AFTER the console drops to the seemingly mass market price of $200. How long is it going to take Sony to reach that price? Microsoft will reach it long before Sony does, and they\'ll have a large enough library of games (including platinum priced games) to really reach out to a broad consumer base.
clowd, I applaud Microsoft for NOT shoving unnecessary technology into my home when all I want to do is play games. I don\'t like having to pay for things I won\'t use. Microsoft is really reaching out to a broad audience with their two tier pricing, and I believe them when they say it\'s crucial to expand their world wide market share. We\'ll see though, won\'t we.
To answer the original question, yes. I\'ll be getting several to sell them and pay off some bills.
