Hmm I doubt the last part though it is still a possibility. After I watched the video I am sure Raiden is just wearing the eksoskeleton.
Metal Gear Cow. Yeah they say booo indeed. These Metal Gear Gekkou\'s are really impressive imo. The scene when the staircase collapsed and how the MG Gekkou climbs up ; awesome !
Kojima\'s reason to choose this sound differs from Western perception, it\'s moreso Japanese. The sound is from Cikada ; some cow-like animal. According to Mr Kojima, the sound reminds Japanese ppl of the peaceful countryside inhabited by the cikada animals.
Therefore he says that the sound is to mislead the player, by giving this lethal weapon a peacefull sound.
So, the connotation is pretty different to Western ppl. It\'s evident Kojima\'s still making this game with Japanese gamers in mind as well.
Speaking of which ; Raiden\'s remake is to accustom him more to the style taste of Western/American gamers.
If there\'s anyone who wanted him dead more than the Raiden haters, after MGS2 ; it\'s the Patriots.
Raiden\'s nano machines contain the perimeter info on the Patriots. The Patriots want to either retreive it or destroy it. I\'d say the Patriots tried to assassinate Raiden inbetween the MGS2 - MGS4 timeline.
He\'s assumed dead, hence Snake saluting a (his) grave, but revived as cyborg ninja and resurfaces as such during MGS4 storyline.
but hey, that\'s just my theory....
