The Devil May Cry series may soon be coming to the Xbox 360, marking the end of the long standing Sony-exclusive series.

Devil May Cry producer, Hiroshi Kobayashi, recently revealed to Japanese Magazine Famitsu that he expects Dante (character within the game) to make his next-gen debut on the Xbox 360 and Wii and not the PS3 as first thought.

This is very interesting and quite a big announcement. With the PS3 losing many of its exclusive titles it will open up the possibility of a new power being crowned console king. With the price tag of the PS3 above the 360 and performance differences minimal, Sony need all the exclusives they can get.

Kobayashi also stated that he still does not know the true power of the PS3, but he expects the game to feature the same feel and style as the trailer shown at last year\'s E3. One thing that will be changing is the fighting system. It will now be aimed at making the difficulty suitable for all players, allowing for players to perform acrobatic maneuvers whilst fighting more easily.

Does the PS3 have that user base yet?
No.
Get back to me when the sales are in...Oh...they aren\'t yet - are they? Why? Because it hasn\'t been released.

I love how every negative PS3 news is downplayed with the userbase argument. Yet any negative MS or Nintendo news is posted with a "I told you so......." .

Speculation is useless.
The only thing that matters now is the pro\'s and con\'s of the system. Is the previous userbase a pro for Sony? Yes. Is the price tag a con? Yes. Now it will come down to hype and franchises. I fully expect the PS3 to sell out come launch and abit afterwards, but once the new wears off, I doubt the PS3 will be able to sell the amount Sony wants , not at that price tag.

Should be noted at the end of the article it says...

"UPDATE - DMC WILL BE A PS3 exclusive"

Ubisoft\'s Assassin\'s Creed was announced as PS3 exclusive too. This week it was reported as not PS3 exclusive.

I was and still am looking forward to that game. Is it a big deal if it ain\'t PS3 exclusive anymore ? No.

tru...and this has happened many times before,..i remember resident evil 4 being a gamecube exclusive and at that time i think everybody thought sony had a solid grip on that series....i think that was huge as well, and it didn\'t hurt sony in the least amount,...i think gta was also on xbox at that time as well...*another exclusive that went away*...even tho gamecube got a brisk surge in sales with the resident evil remake & res evil 4 series,...capcom ended up coming back to the base and ported the game where res evil first started....

Fuck it. Get new exclusives. New exclusives get made every generation. Something will just replace DMC as an exclusive game.
