I\'m trying to talk the wifey into letting me buy a wide angle and a telephoto.  But I haven\'t worked much the past month or so, so it\'s hard to talk her into that one.

I have a rebel.  I need a better flash though. It\'s too direct and bright.

By no-flash option, I mean being able to "push it a few stops"...the last pic is with flash off, but you need to have a very steady hand and subject...Maybe I\'ll just buy a Pentax K1000 and some Ektachrome...:) and develop it myself. ;) My ex\'s father has my enlarger in his basement still (maybe)....

but seriously, how is the rebel? can you pretty much treat it as an old school film SLR?

sorry but i am lost of what you are trying to tell me.  what does push it a few stops mean?  What is Ektachrome?  What is dektrol?  Again, I am not sure what those things are...

sorry...they\'re terms used in the proceesing of "film"...(that\'s what we had before digital cameras...;)) I used to do a lot of my own developing when I was in high school (in fact I also got laid in the darkrrom there)...
