their one loss was at soldier field, so theyre beatable there.

and grossman has already showed hes not ready for the playoffs (not talking about last years loss).

At pre-season i said, "bears could actually be really good". Then after grossman turned out 5 times better than expections I actually thought superbowl. But after all this inconsistancy, the loss of mike brown, and their run defense showing holes, i dont see them making it

BUT, the panthers are probably their main threat who they destroyed last year, and they stuff steve smith, so theres a chance if grossman manages not to choke. Personally doubt it though.

I say panthers vs chicago in the nfc championship (bears will win the first game after the bye) with the panthers winning. And of course the AFC team winning the SB...whoever it is.

I gotta agree on the Grossman thing. I\'m a big fan of his, but he\'s starting to make me really, really nervous.

The Miami loss was a fluke.

so that means it wont happen in the playoffs?

bears are easily their own biggest opponent. They have the skills and the people to do it.

sorry my last 2 posts have been all anti-bear,lol. I honestly hope they win the superbowl.

Im a bronco fan and iv kinda given up this season with plummer. Its all about getting cutler into a starter next season, and in 2 years the offense mixed with the already awesome defense...oh yea..

I hope the Bears beat themselves this weekend against the Patriots.

Never a safe assumption to say the defense will be the same in two years.

theyll still have bailey, wilson, gold (hopefully), dj williams, darrent williams, foxworth...and they get new d-linemen every year.

The D is pretty set with young guys and veterans, and the veterans have long term deals.

only question will be how long john lynch can keep kicking ass and what they do about nick furguson now that hes out for the year.

Or how long they can stay in good enough cap position to not have to cut someone.  I mean, I\'m not saying it won\'t stay together...but saying that one side of the ball will improve while the other holds at its current position is never a safe bet in such an unsure league.

my boys destroyed the bucs today...:fro:.....romo just looks like a pro veteran on the field..and because romo has decent footwork we don\'t always need to keep our tightends to block..they can now go out and make plays......we now lead the nfc east...time to go to the giants backyard for some payback...

Rex Grossman is a bad quarterback.

i didnt get to see the game. How was the pressure? Seems like hes fine when hes able to sit in the pocket. Kind of like a young drew bledsoe.

But..he needs to deal with the pressure because they wont be able to pay for all their D players, 2 RB\'s, 1 big paying WR, and then great o-linemen that need big paychecks.

Well it was an ugly game, but in the end the Patriots made fewer mistakes than the Bears... thus they pick up the win.  Eh, next week is Detroit, should win but you never know.

what was the turnover ratio? Last time i saw the game in the 4th.. the bears forced 4 and pats forced 3. This was right around the time the scored that TD to take the lead again.

Bears ended the game by turning it over though.  And boy did you ever see it coming when it happened.
