8 best looking games of TGS

6 out of 8 were PS3.

...and from what we saw and heard about prior to the show, developers were having a lot of trouble developing for the PS3 hardware compared to the ease of PC-like Xbox 360 programming.

I could have told them (almost) the contrary beforehand already. PS2 savvy developers will make a relatively smooth transition to PS3 programming.

Of course, most people were blinded by their reaction of outrage to the PS3 price and BluRay format, that they basically lost sight (and common sense) of what already had been established.

Yeah those were nice screenshots.
 
Graphics impress me, but it sucks when you look at something as beautiful as that new Ridge Racer and they start the synopsis with something like "Although it doesn\'t do anything different than Ridge Racer 6..."
 
Except for the off-roading game, most of those looked like something I wouldn\'t play. I\'d want a game like Ridge Racer, though, just for the graphics, heh.
 
When I look at the fun to be had with Excitetruck, it makes me wish that off roading game used the PS3\'s tilt control. That would be an incredible looking game with controls that were fun as hell, in my opinion.

As for PS3\'s games. Going by the impressions, they\'re solid launch games. The platform has received alot of heat and scepticism about \'probably not being able\' to produce smooth 1080P games. I think when it comes to that, TGS has already proven those critics very wrong.

I\'d say MotorStorm, Armored Core 4 and VF5 have my vote for PS3 2006 games.

Take from it what you will, but nice to see all the good things being said about Sony for once.  I think we\'ve had it up to here with the criticisms.

Can\'t wait to get my hands on a PS3. It\'s gonna have to take a while, though.

True but judging from a video I ve seen a long time ago, I think they have overdone it with the sensitivity and jumping.
