Just played Wii-sports Baseball... very true to your motions.  Visually nothing special, but I do feel like I was playing baseball.

I was watching some people play the Tennis game at my local mall today.

Looked pretty fucking boring.

The girls who were there to supervise were hot as shit, though. Hotter, in fact.

No one cares that you got the Wii ;)

Cool that you got it. Share some impressions :) I\'m really considering getting it at the first price drop (not getting it now since I\'m saving for PS3 at the moment) maybe even before. Well whenever I have the money, I\'m totally getting it.

Impressions...

Decent Launch titles + Unique Gameplay = Fun

Definitely worth $250 especially when you factor in that Zelda is launched with the system.  Nintendo did a nice job with this package.  I don\'t think it will last as long as the other two consoles, but its got something good going right now.  If you prefer gameplay over graphics, this is the way to go.

So far I\'ve played Wii Sports the most. Boxing is kind of awkward, but the rest are great. Both my parents played golf and my mom liked everything. She beat me in bowling. Golf is my favorite. It has courses from the NES game Golf.

Then I tried Zelda for about 40 minutes and it was god awful. It looked like shit. There was nothing at all to draw me into any kind of story so far. And what\'s worse - and this is so unlike Nintendo - is that it has stuck me with some menial objective (get a cat) and no instruction as to how. I can\'t pick it up, herding it seems impossible. I tried to get an owl to carry it... nope. I threw a friggin pumpkin at it too. The controls for walking are God awful too. All you have to do is move the thumbstick, but Link makes every turn wide. I\'ll have to try 3 or 4 times walking next to and into a ladder before he finally climbs up. I\'ve never been so disappointed initially with a first party Nintendo game. I hope to God it gets better. It has to. I just don\'t know how long I can stand playing to find out.

Then I tried Monkey Ball. I beat the first 8 levels and that was pretty been-there, done-that. Then I tried a few of the 50 minigames and pretty much hated what I tried. Maybe Zelda killed my mood.

I dunno, but right now I wish I had just got the system and Wii Sports. I would\'ve saved like $300.

Ya....seems sort of weird considering this is being called the best Zelda ever.

Im probably not going to get the Wii until christmas, PS3 came first and both would have been a little expensive at the same time.

I played some more golf and tennis. Tried Excitetruck. It\'s average, but it\'s fun. A good use of the remote. Pretty fun. And I bet it\'s hard as hell. I made it through the beginner\'s cup relatively easily, though.

That\'s very much like in other Zelda games, actually. In Ocarina of Time after being sent forward in time seven whole years you were told to go to Kakariko village. That\'s it. You had to figure out on your own what exactly you were supposed to do there (figure out that Dampe had died, go to the graveyard, figure out that you could move the gravestones with flowers above them, find Dampe in the cave below his grave and race him for the hookshot (which you needed to get into the Forest Temple)).
And there were times when you weren\'t even told where you were supposed to go. Zelda\'s all about exploration, it\'s one of the series\' staples (sp?).

And the solution to the cat puzzle, in case you haven\'t figured it out yet, is to find the monkey with the cradle (down the river, up on a big rock). Call a hawk and send it at the monkey to get the cradle. Give the cradle to the pregnant lady to get the fishing pole, then go to where the cat is and do some fishing. Give the cat a fish and then you can finally buy the slingshot.

And by the way, all Zelda games have a slow start. It\'ll get much more exciting and fun later on.

Yeah, Eik. Yes, the graphics are Wii-k. It\'s a GameCube title on the damned Wii. :)

My advice is to push forward in Zelda until at least after the first dungeon and then give us some more impressions. ;)

Will do. I had seen that monkey but thought I couldn\'t get him til I had the slingshot.

Graphically, though, I don\'t remember Gamecube being so ugly, heh.

I have S-Video for the Cube, maybe that helps hide it. Plus, Link looks like such a homo, at least at the beginning of the game, heh. It\'s hard to watch. But I\'ll give it another go.
