I totally agree on the "geez, GCN never looked this bad" comment.

That was my reaction when I first saw it!

But, compare with Wave Race or any other seminal \'Cube title and Zelda:TP looks at least par.

I\'m disregarding Eik\'s opinions about the new Zelda. Guy couldn\'t even beat Link To The Past. He must be Zelda handicapped.
Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

Heh, for the record I played and enjoyed and finished Link\'s Awakening and Ocarina of Time. I think I also beat the original, but I\'m not sure.

The game is just so retread every time that it gets boring. I need a break in between or I give up. I\'m almost ready to give up on this one, but I\'m going to keep at it.

My impressions are still so early on that it\'s not fair to judge the game, but at this point I\'d say it\'s overhyped. People should at least mention the control and while the Wii is no Xbox 360, the graphics are distractingly ugly. I would\'ve much preferred Wind Waker to what I\'ve seen so far in the first village. This is nothing like the Link vs Ganandorf fight scene showed back in, what, 2000?

Eik... if you have the inputs, spend the $30 and get the component cables for Wii.  Won\'t give you Hi-Def, but it will give you a resolution boost.  They will become widey available sometime in December.

Yeah, I\'m holding out for S-Video. I have component inputs in the back of my tv, but I am not about to go fumbling around with the inputs every time I switch to Xbox 360 and back. The composite input is on the side of the set and is very accessible. I\'m going to live with it. 480p isn\'t enticing enough for my trouble.

On another set, I absolutely would get the component cables.

Echo I did what you said and got past that part. Figured out the next series of events and got to try out the sword play finally which makes things a lot more immersive. So things are looking up finally. I made my way to the first mini-dungeon area, if you can call it that and I saved right before heading out to Hyrule for the first time.

So I\'m finally getting sucked in, about 2 hours into the game. Things are going a lot better than yesterday, although walking is still a bit clunky and swordfighting doesn\'t always work exactly like you\'d like, although I see that they limited the spin move for balance, so I understand.

Still haven\'t tried Trauma Center or Red Steel. But I did play some more Wii Sports. Boxed my dad today and played bowling with the whole family. My coworkers brought it up today and asked me to bring it in tomorrow. So we\'re gonna get some tennis going on at work!

Don\'t they make hubs where you can plug in multiple component consoles at once but on the same inputs? This way you can just flip a switch.

That\'s actually a great idea. I might go that route.

For a good one, they\'re expensive. $100.

And duh, the game is more immersive with the sword? No kidding. :)

The game doesn\'t really start until you\'re finished with the initial Twilight Realm section.

if im thinking of the right thing, be careful with what you buy. When my brother bought an xbox, i thought itd be awesome to buy this thing that you could plug the xbox, dvd, ps2, and something else into it, press the button and it would switch to whichever one you wanted to play.

moral of the story..it was a piece of shit and didnt work

I use one like that , but it is for old plugs. It has 5 inputs (I use for VCR, NES, SNES and N64). The output is either RCA or S-video.. which is great since I can keep all my old console plugged.
can\'t see why not!

I\'m a hell of a lot more interested in a Wii than a PS3 at this moment.  Do you guys think it will hold an adult gamer\'s interest?  Wii sports sounds good but I have a feeling the novelty will wear off and I\'m not a big zelda fan.  Do you think there will be 30-70 hour games that will be worthwhile?  I guess for $250 I\'m not risking a lot, but I don\'t want to waste my money, either.

Wii Sports is getting all the accolades right now. Zelda is nice....but it\'s not for everyone.

Call of Duty 3 - I didn\'t care for it. You\'d think that pointing the wiimote at the target would be simple. But it\'s not. It\'s more like you\'re "leading" the cross hair to the target.

GT Pro Series for Wii is an embarrassment. Not sure what Nintendo was thinking by porting that piece of crap.

Zelda and Monkey Ball and  Wii Sports is about the best games for the Wii right now. I haven\'t read the reviews on Trauma -Second Opinion.
