"Tekken 5 (Dark Resurrection 1080p) Set for PS3"

Just in case you haven\'t heard the news yet:

December 6, 2006 - The PlayStation Network is off to a slow start, but things are going to get a lot more interesting in the near future. According to Japan\'s Famitsu Weekly, Bandai Namco will be releasing a version of Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection for the download service. A release date and pricing information were not announced.

This version of Tekken 5 is based off the arcade update that powered the recent PSP entry in the series. The PS3 version will feature full 1080p visuals and the playable debut of boss character Jinpachi, who was unplayable in the arcade version. The various modes found in the arcade game, including arcade battle, ghost battle and gallery, will also be updated for the PS3 version.

At the very least, this ought to hold Tekken fanatics over until Bandai Namco is ready to start talking about Tekken 6.

online play is officially a requirement for games

But will they do it for Tekken?

I am really pissed by the fact that I cant find any good players to play against with in Tekken so I cant get better.
But online Tekken will satisfy my needs to the fullest. Being able to play against good players whenever and from everywhere is my Tekken dream come true.

And who knows? I might play against you guys as well

Got the same problem, when ever i meet new people that play tekken they always say they\'re gonna cain me blah blah blah.  Never happens. I do play a fair amount at arcades though. So i\'ve learnt to mix up my gameplay.  But i doubt i\'d get DR on ps3 (un;ess it was online), i already have it on psp.   If it does go online lag would most likely be a big issue.. Hopefully everyone has a good enough connection that won\'t be the case.

I was thinking of getting it...but since I have SW lego, rocoloco and the pinball game that doesn\'t seem to make it out of my psp, I\'ll probably wait...

its a place that provides mp gameplay when the consoles can\'t. Against people you don\'t know.

arcades are THE place to meet women.  Wear your nicest overalls and play your best to attract females with shaved vahzin.

Hey Soully, glad to see you\'ve started playing at the arcades.

Whenever I come down to Melbourne, I\'ll be letting all the Tekken guys know I\'m on my way and we\'ll all meet up for some games and whatnot.

nope.. generally i play at friends houses.  We do little tournament and get about 5 to 10 people together for it. When you\'re in melbourne give me a buzz and we\'ll setup a weekend to do one.
