xbox 360 vs ps3 graphically...

^^^tru no doubt...i was just in the mall the other day and saw someone playin\' motorstorm...and honestly, the game looks and plays fantastic, i\'ll say it again, graphics are not an issue this time around, it\'s going to come down to who has the best library of games and great physics and A.I.....

and seeing as a BUNCH of exclusives are turning into multi-console games...they\'re only getting more similar.

And to me, xbox made the smart move. Getting the GTA series was a huge selling point for me. My gut says sony will pull away, but xbox probably learned from their xbox mistake of having a crappy game selection.

It does look like the ps3\'s exclusives will be a lot better than the 360 ones though..I cant find a solid list of 360 exclusives, but a lot of them just look like shooters while the ps3 has GT, metal gear (both i never got into but..its next gen), 8 days, killzone, probably god of war 4(which should be amazing..but it wont be out for a lonnnnnnngggggg time)

GTA was only a time exclusive for PS3. Fatal Inertia is a new IP. I know people would mention Assasins Creed as well. But these titles were never the ones that made PSs and XBOXs different.

Its games like MGS, Forza, GT, DOA, Tekken, Halo etc that made them different and these still remain exlusives.

Whats more these are way too few compared to this list of PS3, 360 and Wii exclusives

well, obviously the big ones will never go multiplatform. Has to be something that separates the two, and things microsoft produces wont be on ps3 and vice versa.

Looking at the list, I\'d say its pretty even. With games costing 60 bucks, i wont be buying games at will, and none of those scream at me. Even MGS since i hated all the metal gear games..and i hate splinter cell on console..think my days of new stealth games are numbered till i upgrade my PC.

Why do you dislike stealth games on consoles btw ? Imo, the analogue sticks are what make sneaking moves the smoothest fun instead of WASD. I, myself, don\'t play those games for mouse accuracy shooting. Sneaking first - shooting optional...

Otherwise, try Hitman : Bloodmoney on Xbox360 or PC ; it\'s a great humerous game.

Personally, i think the PS3 will prove itself worthy, 1 to 1,5 years from now and the whole internet community\'s PS3 hate will evaporize.

i even didnt like the hitman demo..pc and 360. I dont really know why. It\'s a lot easier, to me, to get all the gadgets out with a keyboard for some reason even though there\'s way more buttons. I even found sneaking and moving around way easier because you use the wheel on the mouse to set the speed of your movements and after you get the hang of it its really easy.

cant really pinpoint what i dont like about it. The SP demo also had some major framerate issues that i think found its way into the game (on the new one at least). Maybe if i got used to the controls, just between GoW using A to use cover and Rainbow Six using LT, i kept getting turned around and accidently throwing grenades in splinter cell.

I dont hate the ps3, im going to get one eventually. I just defend the 360 since im having a blast with it. I dont think i owned 6 games with the ps2 this quickly and all 6 of them are fun as hell.

Having finally played Resistance and the Motorstorm demo today...Xbox 360 wins by a considerable margin.  Of course, I expect that gap to close quite a bit if not entirely as the PS3 matures.

Save for the bluray player, I can\'t understand why anyone would pay so much for a PS3 right now.

No.  I played the game Resistance and the Motorstorm demo (it\'s all that\'s out right now).  Mind you, I didn\'t say demos.

May I ask....how is it that Motorstorm barely looks as good as the 360?  Are you comparing Motorstorm to Gears of War?  If so, what is it that makes you think Gears of War seem better?  Me personally, having seen all 3 games: Motorstorm, Gears of War, and Resistance in motion.  I thought Resistence\'s High Dynamic Range lighting look flat and pale in comparison to Gears of War.  Not to mention Gears of War texture looks more define than Resistence in comparison.

But when I tried to compare the graphic quality between GoW and Motorstorm, this is where its get tricky as both look really close to CG quality.  If CG quality is consider a 10/10, then Gears of War and Motorstorm should get a 9/10 for me seeing them in motion.  Well, maybe Motorstorm seems a little better, as it seems to have a bit more punches than GoW, and the physic in Motorstom seem more fluid than GoW...maybe I should give Motorstorm a 9.2 out of 10 for graphic, but that\'s just me personally.

comparing a racing game to a shooter is pointless

True, but Motorstorm seems to have the same quality and type of HDR lighting which we also see in Heavenly Sword footage. Somehow, devs really can get the HDR to shine on PS3 already.

Of course, like Riku says ; to me personally, i wouldn\'t spend money on PS3 atm even if it were available here in PAL land.

i think sony could have really did better without the blu-ray tech...i could be wrong, but i honestly don\'t see it catching on like that....an upgraded dvd laser would\'ve sufficed,....at least for me....graphics like i stated earlier are not going to be an issue....i look back at some of the games on ps2 that were close or on par graphically with some of xbox\'s nicest looking games. I think god of war could have easily been mistaken for an xbox game....and capcom did an amazing job graphically with res evil 4 on ps2....in the hands of skilled programmers, great looking games can be achieved on any system...
