just chiming in, I\'ve been using Vista at work for the past week and it\'s great.  Not leaps & bounds better than XP by any means but the little touches make it more user-friendly and less boring.

Just get a theme pack or something if you want less boring. :)

I\'m using a Mac-like theme on my XP along with a dock (RocketDock). It looks great.

i tried Vista and i hated it. my girlfriend has it and she can\'t stand it either. i\'m sticking with XP. btw, i want to spice XP up a bit, anyone have any good theme sites that are easy to use for a dumbass like me?

Exactly...only Vista is still buggier.

The UAC is the most effing annoying thing I\'ve ever seen in an OS. Turned that off immediately. "Are you sure?" Yes. "Are you sure?" YES. "Are you sure?" YESS!! "You need Admin privileges to use that function." SON OF A BITCH! **Open as Administrator**

Um, I linked directly to the themes on the site. Just download and install. Even a child, and perhaps you, can figure it out. :p

And yeah, you should be able to uninstall the whole thing.

You can also use the built-in XP themes, but I can\'t remember where to get the haxxed dll file you need.

cool. its 2:10AM right now so i\'m not downloading it tonight (i have a test in the morning) but i\'ll download that theme that i liked and post screen shots or whatever

Yes, TITan. You can uninstall it fine. However, you should create a Restore Point before you install the theme because I\'ve ran into some funkiness uninstalling before. The themes all come with uninstallers though.
