Dealing with road rage

Any of you ever get road rage but then decide to squash the habit? It happens to me sometimes and I wonder what works for you.
 
Besides picking up a guy to give you head while you drive, of course.

I just let it go.  My brother is the complete opposite of me and speeds up, tailgates, and acts like an overall jerk.  He\'s known as the douchebag of our crew.  The way a person drives can really show their personality. :moped:

All I have to say is what goes around comes around.  The guy who cut you off will get his sooner or later.

The interstate near my house has two lanes going onto the highway but they merge halfway up the ramp.  A lot of people pull asshole moves here just to gain a car length.  When someone cuts me off there I just ride their ass for a second just to let them know they\'re a dick.

I tend not to get road rage.  The only time I\'ll act like an ass when I drive is when someone tries to pass on the right when the other cars on the right are clearly going slower than I am.  I speed up so they can\'t cut in front of me.

This is not to say that I\'m one of those people who drive slow in the passing lane.  I let people pass me if they want, but I won\'t drive superfast just to get out of their way, and there certainly is no way for me to make the cars in front of me to go faster.

Another thing I really hate is when people yield their right of way for no reason.  Yes, if there\'s a big line of cars and I need to get out or merge I appreciate being let in.  But 4-way stops - I hate getting waved through or everyone just sitting there waiting for someone else to tell them what to do (women mostly seem to do this I notice).  It\'s very easy - if you got there first, you go.  If you got there at the same time, the person on the right goes.  In all the time it took to read each other\'s frikkin mind we all could have been on our merry frikkin way.

WOW.  I can\'t believe someone else on this planet knows the right of way rule for 4-way stops.  The way people drive around here, I thought I was the only one.  I\'m very impressed.
 
When someone does that to me, I sometimes clasp my hands behind my head to indicate that I\'m not going anywhere until they go first.

I usually don\'t get road rage but if I\'m in a bad mood or really bored I\'ll get close to someone, not so much tailgate or if in good fun try to pass them. This is only on the interstate of coarse. I never tailgate or anything in the area where I live. I live in the woods and deer suddenly jump out.

Meh... Life is too short to have road rage. "Defensive driving" sure, but being pissed off on the road while driving huge chunks of metal down the freeway at 70 miles an hour just isn\'t smart. I took driving school online when I got a ticket (for quite a lame reason, never come to Arizona). There was a statement in the program that I\'ll never forget, "Sit back with nonchalant humor as other drivers try to kill themselves." Sounds like a plan.

What\'s worse is when they drive 60 in a 65 in the left lane and so are the other assholes in the other lanes.  I almost got in an accident on I-295 one night coming home from school because of some dipshit that was driving 60 in a 65 in the passing lane. I went to pass them in the right lane since there was someone in the middle lane keeping pace with the other person and as I\'m slowly heading back in the left lane, some asshole driving atleast 90 (since I was doing 85) tries to speed past me, even though my blinker was on and I was already moving in. If I didn\'t see their headlights in my tiny side mirror, he would have hit me and I would have been killed. My car defintely would have flipped over in the median.

My problem is mostly caused by my body kit. Some roads are at such awkward inclines, often in parking garages and stuff, that even at a really slow speed I\'ll just start grinding into the pavement.
 
It was so bad the other day I had to throw it in reverse and back up out of the garage. Any further forward I would have ripped the front bumper off. I was pissed.
 
I never should\'ve made my car more frustrating to drive, but I wanted to beef up my credit score and thought to make the car flashier with the loan money.
 
Basically I try to tell myself now that worst case, I end up going back to a normal, decent bumper. So who cares even if it does break off. I dunno.
