I hear ya. I just don\'t think Live is so expensive that it makes a difference. It\'s less than $5 a month and if you use it, the service is worth it. Free is better, I just don\'t think it\'s a system seller in this case. It didn\'t do the trick for PSP or Dreamcast (not sure about the DC\'s online plan, really). It\'s a plus, but not as big as this list makes it seem, in my opinion.
For the disc space.... I don\'t know, if your game is that ambitious, get a second DVD9 or what about when you need 100GB? Space is important, but I don\'t think it\'s a system seller either. There are ways around it, and none of the systems are lacking in storage space for what they offer, software-wise anyway. That\'s just my opinion.
The only thing that struck me was how he gave one possible explanation for the low number of levels in Gears. I think they just paid so much attention to graphics that they ran out of development time and lost a level or two (see early trailer to see how they cut an encounter with that major boss). But really, if it was a space thing, just put the last two levels on disc two. Not a big deal, right?
