Shutup... \'boy\'

The numbers.  Go off topic in another thread...

(O\'Ree - back in the 50s)

(Iginla - Signed the biggest contract the year after the lockout)

(Carter - Great scorer)

(Laraque - One of the top heavyweights)

(Emery - My favorite of course)

Looking ahead to this next series in the East, I\'m thinking Buffalo will beat the rangers in 5, maybe 6, but I think the lack of depth on the Rangers will show, and they will not have home ice advantage to match Jagr with Briere\'s line.

For my series, I think Ottawa will win in 6, but it\'s possible in 5 if they aren\'t too rusty from the week off, and Brodeur doesn\'t steal more than one.

I\'m saving my Ottawa-Buffalo smack talk and breakdown until next round.

Whoooooeeee, what a game.  Ottawa\'s first 10 minutes of both series\' sure has been amazing.....  Brodeur looked uncharicteristically weak glove side this game, but I\'m sure he\'ll fix it soon.  Glad to see that the Sens got at least the split, hopefully the double on Saturday from Jersey.  I was a bit worried there, the momentum really shifted as they let Jersey chip away at the lead, but it\'s hard to keep playing hard after going up 4-0 so fast.

Yes, yes, double post, but this is a special thread, so special circumstances apply.  Where are all the other fans, Buffalo played yesterday, eh Chizz?

sorry, I was in California for a week...

Sabres played well from what I hear, I didn\'t get to see them. I will be watching tonight\'s game, I need my fix! The rangers were slow and ineffective, just like I thought they\'d be.

When Vancouver went down 3-2 tonight I knew the game was over.  Luongo may be a superstar (and MVP in my book for this year), but Vancouver is really a crappy team, and barely a step up for him than Florida.

If he was on a team like Pittsburgh or Ottawa, I would be predicting 3 of 5 Stanley cups in the next 5 years.

Heh heh, lookin\' forward to tomorow.  Got decent center ice tickets to the third game of Ottawa/NJ.

Booyeah.  Sens through another series in 5.  Everyone on the team is playing the way they should in the playoffs.  Alfie lots of vigor, virtual MVP every night.  Heatley and Spezza playing 2-way hockey, blocking shots even.  Shutdown defense effective against top lines.  Fourth line playing above expectations.  Emery solid (not great, but dependable) in nets, with the league leading 8 wins now.

Everything seems to be on track, and now we get some rest before we face a hopefully pounded-just-off-game-seven Buffalo (probably) or Rangers team.

Sabres beat rangers in 6, baby! everyone\'s healthy, too, which is better than last year...little bit of rest before the Battle begins! What a series this will be, all fanboy mentality aside, I think we are in for some epic hockey here... probably be better than the finals, as we all know east coast hockey pwns the west! I\'ve been to game 1 of the first series, went to friday\'s nail-biter overtime win, and hopefully my boss will cough up the front rows seats for a game here...

I think we match up pretty evenly in offence and goal tending... but the Sens defense is going to massively slow up the Buffalo speeders, and I don\'t think the Buffalo D has enough depth to match our offensive depth.

I predict Ottawa in 6.  Split in Buffalo, Ottawa win 2 at home, Buffalo game 5 and Sens take it in the 6th.

Prediction on track.... I actually predicted a different outcome to a friend last week, but simmilar.  Ottawa win 1 and 2, Buffalo 3, Ottawa 4, Buffalo 5, and then Ottawa 6.

I\'ll stick with my first posted prediction though, even if I really, really hope we win again Saturday.

that\'s exactly what I thought game 1 would look like, Sabres slow & giving up turnovers left & right...I\'m almost glad they lost, cause they completely underestimated The Sens  picket fence blue line, and overestimated their ability to get back deep after dump-ins. Now they gotta figure out how to get more activity infront of emery, \'cos he gave it up smooth to Maxi on that first one...

Also I refuse to watch any more hockey on Versus network, those yobs spend all night talking about trivial shit instead of calling the game. Funny, they\'ll yap on endlessly sucking Heatly\'s cock and telling you his 3rd grade teacher\'s name, but fail to mention that he murdered his best friend and got off with a slap on the wrist... if that was you or I we\'d still be in jail...If I get front-row seats, I\'m making a "Dany Heatley is a murderer" sign. Also, since I\'m right near the camera hole, I\'ll ask him how it felt to kill his best friend through it. ;)

Well, my predictions were wrong, but in a good way.

I think that OT loss broke the Sabre\'s back.  15 shots in game 3, and it would have been a slaughter if not for the outstanding play of Miller.
