Normally I would say "please stay away, we don\'t need anymore people in California" but in your case I would make an exception to my policy.
Los Angeles has its own unique problems, but I like it here. Given the choice, I might consider a different part of town, like Pasadena or the valley. The population density here in the Wilshire district is too crazy for me some times. I could never live in a really dense city like Manhattan. I don\'t like hearing crying babies and crazy people howling on the sidewalk.
I was too young to remember living in San Diego but my folks rant & rave about Cali like it\'s heaven, so I guess that bias has rubbed off on me. Plus I went to LA there for a friend\'s wedding recently and loved the chill atmosphere and the fact that is was sunny all the time. Really affects your personality & outlook on life.
I love DC but I dunno, it just doesn\'t suit me as well. Too many people here are snobby & uptight, and there\'s no beaches ;P I hate having to make travel plans/taking off work just to see the ocean.
Grass is always greener I know, but I don\'t like the idea of living in one place all my life.. might as well try something new while I\'m young.
