I never got into wrestling. Even when I was little I thought it was stupid. If I\'m gonna watch two people beat the shit out of each other, I\'ll watch boxing or the UFC. Wrestling is good for just entertainment purposes but for real fighting, something else is better. Wrestling video games are more real also, lol. However, good riddence to him. I hope his wife and son RIP.

I liked wrestling when I was a little guy but eventually grew to love boxing and MMA for my combat sport fix. I view wrestling the same as opera, its just live theater entertainment. Neither of which are my cup of tea but I don\'t bash it. I only get aggrivated when people INSIST on telling me wrestling is real...then the claws come out.

the ONLY part of wrestling that is real is when they actually do get hurt performing those moves*thinks of psycho sid\'s ankle break* <----that was nasty...but yea, for my combat fix i too like boxing even tho as of late i really haven\'t been keepin\' up with it....as for mma, some of those matches i can\'t even watch, i mean those guys are the real deal....i mean those cats in that sport seriously be gettin their grills split....

i saw this one episode where this guy picked this cat from off the floor and power-bombed the s**t out of him, i mean i seriously thought his brains were going to splatter all over the floor,...that\'s how hard his head hit the ring....needless to say that it was an instant ko....i have alot of respect for those guys, cause there\'s no-way in the hell you could get me to do some s**t like that...

The only professional wrestler I enjoyed watching was Andy Kaufman.

Anyone who has followed Benoit will struggle to understand how this could have happened. It\'s the total opposite of his character on tv, his standing among his peers and his relationship with his fans. It\'s hard to imagine what would make him snap. Did he kill both of them? It\'s a bizarre set of circumstances, to say the least.

it really is mind boggling....benoit seemed like the type that had his s**t together....sad really....the latest i\'ve heard is that he did indeed kill both of them on Sunday then he killed himself on Monday....bouncin\' around on other wrestlin\' sites i\'ve seen rumors that his wife was supposedly cheatin\' on him....i\'m not sure if that\'s true or not, but if it is,..it\'s just like that cop that killed his gf....i don\'t care how much you either love or hate a person, nothing should drive you to kill them. It\'s also a bit disturbing to hear that benoit took out his son as well...it just doesn\'t make any sense...there way too many women in the world to be sweatin one....whether she\'s cheatin on you and you\'re pissed about it....or she\'s not cheatin\' on you and just wants to break up....hell yea, that s**t will hurt at first, but time heal all wounds and nothing, and i mean absolutely nothing warrants killin\' somebody over it....

Several Alanta-based law enforcement sources have told CNN that Benoit\'s wife, Nancy, was put through the kitchen table, possibly by an arial manuever involving one\'s head. Little Daniel seemed to have been put in the \'Crippler Crossface\' last Sunday, he tapped out (his leg was on the rope, but law enforcement weren\'t there at the time to justify it), but Chris Benoit didn\'t know and accidently snapped his neck. It was reported that Chris fled to Mexico, leaving his former life behind.

I think someone broke into their home (I mean, it doesn\'t take a genius to reliaze that a women & kid are the only two home almost ever week). She fought back & they killed her then Daniel came out after that & they killed him. THen left. Benoit calls home & doesn\'t get an awsner. So, he calls around his family & friends & ask if they have talked to her but noone has. He flys home & sees it & then kills himself.

Okay, Chris might have killed his family but to all the people who are saying he should burn in hell and stuff should shut up. Seriously, NONE of you know what went on in his mind. and to say he should rot is just disrespecting. Many wrestlers say he was a great man and i bet he was too. so shut up before you say those idiotic comments.

Clips, the current rumor is that during a domestic dispute (apparently there was a history of domestic violence here, and past inidications that Benoit had suicidal thoughts) Benoit, 40, snapped and strangled his wife Nancy, 43. That was Saturday. Sunday morning, the rumor goes that he smothered his 7-year-old child, possibly as Daniel was sleeping or as he awoke. Possibly with the conflicted state of mind about what he had done to the kids future, and selfishly how it would reflect on him for having done it. The next day, Monday, Benoit hung himself in his weight room.
 
On Saturday he called out of work, probably from home but possibly away from home and needing a flight to take him back to Atlanta, citing a family emergency. During the weekend, he sent undisclosed text messages to coworkers who were concerned enough with his behavior to notify police and that\'s when the bodies were discovered.

If he killed his kid a day later I wonder how terrifying that would be for the kid to be in the house with his dad and with his mother dead in the family room.

It is hard seeing him doing this, but if the cops say he did then he did it. I mean unless they come up with other evidence that could negate the fact that it was Benoit.

wow,...it\'s just unreal...i liked benoit as a wrestler but clearly he had some serious issues in his personal life. i guess vince will have to kill his current storyline with him bein dead,... first scary sherry dies then benoit,....i actually seen him on tv talking about benoit\'s death, so maybe they\'ll take another route with the storyline or just nix it altogether, which in light of what\'s happened within the past few weeks i think he should just kill it...

Looks like that\'s the plan... At the very least, at least he\'s acknowledged that his character\'s death is part of the show, as it would be on any other television program.
 
This is the first I\'ve read about her being bound up... It\'s hard to imagine... People like me who follow Benoit\'s career so closely... we thought we knew what he was all about, but now we see that he had a seriously twisted dark side. It sucks that this is how it finally came out... would\'ve been so much better if he just did himself in in the first place...
