My first concert experience - Tool

I was actually wrong, it was not Melt Banana. It was a band called Big Business. They sucked. They sucked hard. Sucked to the point that I spent the last 20 min looking for who the hell it was that opened the show. All I remembered was the high level of suck.

Glad to hear you liked TOOL live as much as i did.  I saw them the year Ænima came out and it kicked so much ass.  One of the best bands i\'ve ever heard live.

I went to lollapalooza in Kansas City back in \'97 When TOOL was the headliner.  Overall there were only a few bands I was into that played, but after Korn was done and TOOL came out the place went apeshit.  We had front row tickets, but everybody rushed the front so we got pinned on the fence for the first few songs.

I remember a hail of full water bottles being thrown on stage and one hit TOOL\'s guitarist in his playing hand and broke one of his strings.  He just stopped playing in the middle of the first song flipped off the crowd, dropped his guitar and walked off stage.

Maynard was wearing black tights, a jock strap and very padded bra (I had wood).  His head was shaved, but he wore a fake ponytail that when down to his ass and had on tons of makeup.  He kept talking about getting a sexchange between shows.  I wish I could find the pics I took... one thing I do remember is that Snoop Dogg Sucked Ass

I saw Tool about a year ago, was a good show though I would have traded it for APC.

Tomorrow I see Wolfmother for the 3rd time!

for me, i can listen to more APC songs than tool songs. But the awesome tool songs are miles ahead of the good APC songs..if that makes sense.

i cant get tired of 10,000 days (the song)

The album Lateralus is ahead of anything APC did. But Thirteenth Step and Mer De Noms are ahead of Tool\'s other albums, IMO.

I think they complement eachother well.

I can kinda say the same thing. I started listening to APC a long time ago. I never really researched the background of the band. When I heard that they had members associated with Tool, I had to give Tool a listen and I really loved them. Now I play both somewhat often. I listen to more APC though but like Tool better.

Going to see Tool tonight and yes, Big Business is opening for them.

I\'ve seen APC a few times and they are simple amazing live. Hated to see them break up.

:(

Still, sometimes you\'re in the mood for Tool and sometimes in the mood for APC.

Great fucking show.

Big Business rocks...Awesome drummer.

Tool was great...They played.........

Jambi
Forty Six and 2
Schism
Stinkfist
Wings for Maria 1 & 2
10,000 Days
Vicarious
Laterlus
The Pot

The Drummer for Big Business done like a five mintue drum-off bewteen Tool\'s Drummer..Maynard had a blast with it. He was never in the shadows, instead he was front and center with a mohawk and sunglasses.

Nice to hear you enjoyed the concert as much as I did Raz. I don\'t know what to tell ya about big business, maybe they figured out what went wrong after the show they played in my town.
All I know is myself and 19,000 other people couldn\'t wait for them to get off the stage.
