i couldn\'t agree more..stupid penalties...dropped passes...i can deal with some of those dropped passes but that one by crayton?...that was touchdown..and the penalties?..every time dallas got a big play, some idiot did something disasterously stupid to get it called back...dallas had more talent tru-enough but every time they got momentum some idiot would take it back from them...dallas beat themselves this game...if they played an error free game like the gmen did, they would\'ve won this game...

Oh well this was really their year to get it done.... congrats to the gmen...they weren\'t the better team....dallas just beat themselves...i\'m kinda shocked at what happened to the colts too...well i\'m gonna assume the pats are goin\' the superbowl and whichever team from the nfc is there, i\'ll be rootin\' for them...

Just like a Dallas fan to not give credit where credit is do.... "Dallas beat themselves" WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Giants fking won that is the bottom line, TO\'s crying Romo the Homo can go back to banging Jessica Simpson in Cabo while Eli and the boys make a trip up to the Frozen Tundra for a chance to make the Super Bowl. And anyone that is ruling the Giants out against the Packers as I\'ve seen on TV are fools.

The drop that Crayton had was a catchable throw all be it not a perfect throw because he was being pressured, and other than the TD catch by TO the rest of the game he was not a factor, he was shut down by RW McQuarters, man how embarassing I\'d be crying after the game too if I got shut down by 3rd string nickle back. BWahahahaha

T.O. was injured...glenn wasn\'t 100% either....i know penalties and dropped passes are part of the game...but take away the penalties and dallas wins it\'s as simple as that...the giants created some pressure for romo late in the game, but again if you take away the penalties dallas wins this game,..they beat themselves..it had nothing to do with the gmen...because even after the dropped passes and whatnot,..it was the PENALTIES that killed dallas...not pressure from the gmen "D" at all....

I gave credit to the gmen..they played basically an error free game...they won because dallas made more penalties and beat themselves, they didn\'t win because of anything major that the giants did...it\'s hard to win when you have 3rd and 4 situations turn into 3rd and 24 because of dumb penalties...

Remember, I called it.

Dallas = The choke.

I also want to apologize to the Gmen. It seems they have quit being so damn self destructive.

You are contradicting your self, if the Giants played an error free game and Dallas did not then in the end the Giants deserved to win, I mean the Giants out played the Cowboys in special teams, of course that will go over looked but that was the key to the Giants win. To say Dallas beat themselves and then turn around and give the Giants credit is contradicting yourself Clips.

How is that contradicting myself?....we created penalties that hurt us,..which had nothing to do with how the giants played....if both teams went back forth scoring touchdowns or stopping each-other or if somebody made a key INT or big play down the stretch, then I would say, "yo, that was a great a game, and both teams played hard, but the gmen made the big plays when they needed them in the end"...<--- but that was not the case....penalties hurt them...false starts, that grounding play on romo, holding, unnecessary roughness on strahan? and others just killed them..

And i guess i\'m not suppose to praise the gmen for not makin\' mistakes? they are a good ball club, and earlier in the thread i popped some s**t regardin\' this game but in all honesty i knew the gmen were comin\' off a pair of strong wins...they were amped....if the giants created turnovers, caused Int\'s or played tough football all around then i\'d give them a little more praise...anybody that saw the game knew that dallas beat themselves...

Don\'t worry LIC,..manning and crew are sittin\' together side-by side with dallas exchangin\' kleenex tissues...:D

Jessica Simpson\'s fault. She\'s like Yoko Ono to the Beatles. Yoko Romo.

So it\'s the Giants fault that the Cowboys had penalties? The Giants also capatilized on most of those penalties like going down and scoring right before half to tie the game.

No big plays down the stretch? What about that interception in the end zone to win the game? Or what about the punt return and kick returns that gave the Giants great field position all day long? These were all keys to the Giants winning, the Giants won the football game and deservedly so.

Unlike the Cowboys the Giants have won a couple playoff games in the past 12 years, hell they went to a Super Bowl too, what have the Cowboys done lately other than go 13-3 and lose playoff games?

I think MJ\'s point is the fact that not having these penalties are part of the game. If you have them, they you are simply not performing at the same level of your opponent.  Not to mention, you and Vivi seem to be taking away a lot from the Giants. They are the second best road team in the NFL (behind the undefeated Pats). They went to Tampa and won and then , they went, without a week off and played Dallas and won, at Dallas.

At the end of the game, which QB threw the INT? At the end of the game, who was dropping passes? At the end of the game, which team occurred to most costly penalties?

Hell, look at the last two possessions Dallas had. They had the ball at mid-field   and every single time failed to do anything with it. The Giants had plenty of pressure on Romo and when he did get the ball off, his receivers were dropping it.

But yea, Dallas beat themselves.

Quote
C/ATT   YDS   AVG   TD   INT
T. Romo   18/36   201   5.6   1   1

              C/ATT      YDS     AVG   TD   INT
E. Manning   12/18   163   9.1   2   0

Which QB had the better game? The one who threw a lot of balls but didn\'t complete most? The one who threw the INT and one touchdown? Or was it the other one?
;)

And this will kill any team.

Quote
                  Giants /  Dallas
Penalties   3-25   11-84

What is even more amazing is the fact that here are Romo\'s stats for last few games.
Quote
Romo completed 51.1 percent of his passes and threw one touchdown and five interceptions. In his previous 13, he completed 67.4 percent of his passes and threw 35 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

Anyone remember that?  Everyone said Dallas simply was sucking because they had no motivation, due to the fact they had secured the 1st in the NFC. Doesn\'t appear to be so true now.

As for the Colts, this is yet another classic example of Dungy playing it way too safe. Manning and the crew had not played in three weeks and once again, it shows how rusty a team can get in that time.  And Harrison may as well retire. He missed almost this whole season and didn\'t do much for us during the playoffs. I think it\'s becoming obvious that he has lost that drive he once had for the game. I hope I\'m wrong, but I doubt it.

I think Harrison is done for good, I don\'t think its the drive I think its the fact that his knee is not healthy even after taking that much time to rehab, at 35 for him to have surgery and be out another year may not be worth it, and to Manning the combination of Gonzo and Wayne is a pretty good one if you ask me. I think the fact that the Colts were beat up on defense although a lot of people fail to mention Freeny was out and there front 4 were basically never the same without him. Bob Sanders is great for stopping the run and delivering big hits but if you give Qb\'s in the NFL time in the pocket you are giving them what they want.

Lic/MJ....i don\'t know how to say it any clearer...everything you guys stated is true..i\'ll even roll with "the giants capitalized on dallas penalties" but as far as them defeating us straight up"?..nope...that interception at the end?..again what lead to us being\' in that situation?...shortly before that we would\'ve had a 1st down at the giants 22, but because of a dumb penalty (i forget what it was) we were put back like ten yards or somethin\'...so the gmen just played deep zone from there on out...

Regardless of the field position the gmen had, or great play by the special teams, we were still in it until that last drive and WE shot ourselves in the foot, because of penalties,..not because of anything the giants did....

I will say the giants did deserve the win..any team that plays the way dallas did, deserve to lose....

Dallas played the way they did because the Giants made them play that way.  I will never understand how people can\'t realize that good defenses make offenses  make mistakes.  People drop passes cause they\'ve been getting hit hard and hear footsteps.  People false start cause they\'re afraid of the rush.  If Romo grounds it, it\'s because the rush is getting to him and everyone is covered.  If Dallas made mistakes, the Giants helped cause them.  Good defenses make offenses make mistakes.  If any offense isn\'t making mistakes, they\'d score on anyone.  The job of a pass rush is to pressure people into making mistakes because they don\'t have the time to think and react properly, or they hits get to them, or they fear the rush.  If people are dropping a lot, it\'s often cause they\'re getting hammered in the secondary (or in the Cowboys case, also because their players are droppers).  That is how defenses work.  They force mistakes out of the offenses.  Saying the Giants didn\'t help cause those Cowboys mistakes just shows you\'re only looking at half the game.

And the Giants were less healthy than the Cowboys.  Sure your top two WR\'s were playing hurt, but for most of the game, our top two CB\'s weren\'t playing AT ALL.  That should more than even out.
