clips I\'m so glad to actually have someone on my side in sports around here

but I am upset with our defense. I felt that we have a solid run defense, but adding Hamlin was supposed to make our secondary so much better. Sure, we are missing Newman (a top 5 CB) but 35 points from a hobbled team is bad. I don\'t know to dismiss it as a fluke or not. But I do know our defense will only get better once Newman is back.

Enough criticizing, our passing game was amazing. No T. Glenn? Oh well, Romo  throws for 4 TD\'s and 345 yards... We have probably one of the top three offenses in the league, and we still have room to improve at RB. But I think switching Barber to starter would cause a dramatic improvement.

Our real test will be Chicago week 3.

hmmm now if we can only agree on race relations...:fighting:...j/k....but yea i mentioned earlier that there\'s no-way we should be lettin\' teams score that high on us...but i do like the tag-team duo of barber and jones,...but i don\'t know,..i mean i know jones is the premier back, but barber just looks quicker and moves a little bit better than jones up the middle,...but i still like how dallas uses them both....and Chicago like you stated is going to be a real ulcer attack...i got the pepto-bismol ready for that one....

Indy and Pats are the two teams to watch out for...

Dallas as surprised me but then again Romo the Homo might be the real deal.

My Cards well yeah same ole same ole... Two of the best receivers in the game one hell of a running back and they loose to the 49ers? WTF!!!!

what\'s up with these old members postin\' a couple of comments then disappearing for the next few years?....post more CY!...:fro:...as far as the cards go,...when E.james came over along with kurt warner,....i actually thought they were goin\' to be a serious threat...but they are only mediorce,..i think they did go 8-8 that year tho, so they did show some promise...it\'s still early,... we\'ll see how they shape up in the next few weeks.

Just to add i read some more info on the Pats, and truly some heads need to roll,...from the coaching staff on up,..SOMEBODY knew what was goin\' on, i think harsh suspensions should be in order in addition to takin\' away their draft picks...Belichick just gave me another reason to hate his immature ass....who seriously knows how long they have been doin\' this?...It even makes the colts victory that much sweeter that they knocked them out of the playoffs last year if they were using those tactics...you have a decent team, why do something as low as that....Belichick may have a winning team, but his character and disposition is one of a huge LOSER...

They didn\'t go cheap with the draft pick either...

If they make the playoffs this year (duh) they lose their first rounder.

i\'m glad they received a pretty stiff fine, and it\'s a wrap as far as them goin\' to the playoffs....so there goes that. Hopefully that crap that they were pulling will cease now. It\'s unfortunate that we\'ll never know if their taping had any effect on the jets game......even tho i think for the most part the Pats have been owning the jets, but as the sayin\' goes on any given day even the strongest team can lose to a weaker team....regardless, i\'m glad the league came down hard on that franchise.

Uh oh....here it comes:

http://www.comcast.net/sports/index.jsp?cat=SPORTS&fn=/2007/09/13/763024.html&cvqh=tis_pats

Quote
PHILADELPHIA - Sheldon Brown and the Eagles hoped a blitz would rattle Tom Brady. One problem: Every time the Eagles rushed Brady in the Super Bowl, the Patriots nullified the defensive attack with screen passes. Lots of them. On almost every play defensive coordinator Jim Johnson called for a blitz, the Patriots used the short pass to confuse the Eagles.

He(Belichick) was the mastermind behind it afterall...these are his comments...

"I accept full responsibility for the actions that led to tonight\'s ruling," the statement said. "Once again, I apologize to the Kraft family and every person directly or indirectly associated with the New England Patriots for the embarrassment, distraction and penalty my mistake caused. I also apologize to Patriots fans and would like to thank them for their support during the past few days and throughout my career"

"Both the NFL and Belichick stressed that the camera was seized before the end of the first quarter and had no impact on the game, which the Patriots won 38-14."

Riiiight....^^^that\'s crazy,... you can still gain useful info from a team within the 1st quarter...

It\'s an absurd excuse to sit there and say...

"We never used the information to win a game.""
"I misinterpreted  the rule."

Belichick is scum, this just further confirms it.

The punishment wasn\'t nearly harsh enough.  The fact that Belichick wasn\'t suspended at all, following the way Goodell has been disciplining players, is an absolute joke.

100% agree with you shockie, Belichek should have been fined and suspended, this is cheating what happens if someone is caught with HGH? They get suspended, hell they even suspended the QB coach in Dallas and he lost quite a bit of money too.

With such a weak punishment they might as well patted them on the back for all this.  They gained much more than the lost in the end, which is sad/pathetic.  I already didn\'t like the NFL, just gives me another reason to hate it.  Not to mention the fact that they didn\'t even cover how they were cutting out opponents\' headsets during the middle of the game.

They\'ve probably been doing this for years, if only they could strip some super bowls.

I don\'t think you can take away championships in the pros.  I just don\'t think it really makes sense.  But I do think they should have done something that would have actually hurt the team.  I would have voted a full season suspension for Belichick, meaning no contact with the team at all.  At least a 4 game suspension plus the draft pick.  Besides, that pick is gonna be at the end of the round.  The money means nothing to these people.

Goodell suspends everyone...except Belichick.  Ridiculous.  How something like this is less of a disgrace when it questions the integrity of the game than the Cowboys QB coach taking HGH to deal with ED, I have no idea.  You\'re running a league Goodell, not being a parent.

And Belichick\'s "apology" just makes me hate him more.  It\'s so frustrating.  The writing of the rule was black and white and he knew perfectly well he was violating it.  He was just warned about it.  And he says that he just had a different interpretation?  God, at least take some responsibility.  The guy pisses me off so much.  I don\'t think there\'s a coach in the NFL who comes off as more of an asshole.
