Those are pretty humerous. My favorite is the French not finding any military advantage of the airplane. Though at the times, they had no idea of the chain of events that would lead to their predictions to be contrary. Also, they are just opinions afterall.

Some of the greatest ideas were thought to be absolutely absurd until the idea caught on. People tend to not think outside the box. It is those who do not think like the general public that create new ideas and strive to achieve great things.

Still...it makes one wonder about how seriously we need to take old people who always rave that "everything was better in the good ol\' days"

and then we can even slide down to the dangerous area of looking at "factual history books" with a magnifying glass....

Computer on topic ; i really enjoyed the best graphical efforts each consecutive generation of computers had to offer, always promising
\'arcade perfect\' graphics lol.

Mark my words. One day we will be saying that. In their perspective, the old days were better. It was simpler for them. Life is so much more complex today than it was 30 even 40 and 50 years ago. Now today, novelties are necessities. We can\'t go anywhere without a cell phone and iPod. You can go into a Starbucks with your computer and get free internet. I\'m at my girlfriend\'s school right now and I\'m getting free internet off her school.
