I got my Xbox 360 back from Microsoft yesterday.  I forgot to check the serial number to see if I got the same unit back, or a different one.  I will check tonight.
 
They were pretty fast; it only took about 9 business days for me to receive it, including all shipping time.  UPS shipping was free, by the way.
 
When the UPS guy gave me the box, he said "Gettin your Xbox back?"  (It was shipped in a featureless white box)  I said "Yeah, you\'ve seen these before?"  He replied, "Yeah, I\'ve seen a lot of em.  That\'s why I decided not to buy one."  :)

Speaking of UPS, my co-worker told me a story about his highschool buddy who used to work at UPS. When the 360 was still new, they began to recognize boxes that contained the console. They would chuck 1 out of 5 Xbox360 into a canvas cart, some guy would wheel it over to the brick fence at their parking lot and start chucking the boxes over. On the other side was couple of guys with vans.

They ebay\'d some of the 360\'s the next day. Those that were in the know kept a couple of 360s for themselves. This was routine. Wii\'s and PS3s were actually the harder to ID.

Ironically, that friend of my co-worker got busted for flunking his drug test.

Well since I last posted I got the Red rings of death and now I just had to send it back again for Unplayable disc, which those disks are taken better care of than I am.  Oh well I can\'t beat getting the piece fixed for free.  Unfortunately this is the 2nd time...who\'s not to say there won\'t be a 3rd or 4th?  I don\'t but I really just wanna play NHL \'08 since that\'s the only game I really was playing on it anyways.

Well my friend\'s 360 got the 3 red rings of death too a few days ago too. He cant believe it died so fast. His older consoles still work to this day and his 360 is just one years old.
