things can still be amazing/personal/cant think of any other descriptions and not be looked as as a miracle. Just another fact of life that\'s amazing, like the size of the universe or our central nervous system. Both things can be looked at as miracles, or just some crazy (in a good way) aspect of life

Viper was just kidding when he said you are going to kill him.  Ugh, speaking of bible.  bearded man cannot be proven true.  if he really exists, and you are this faithful to him, shouldn\'t you be completely cure already?

how long has it been since you been in a wheelchair since you got the accident?  if he really exists, why did he wants you to pray to him and waste your time attending church, and wasting your time read hundred of pages written in the bible?  i can\'t see how that will make you better by reading the bible?  its just unauthentic.

And again, if he really exist, why did he wants you to bow to him and pray to him and stuff?  shouldn\'t he be fair and equal and humble and modest?   Or does this guy wants power, control, and want people to fear him?  what kind of god is this?

so no, i dont think i was harsh. All i did was explain the definition of metaphorical, fixed his post, added a hue of humor, and told him the positives of this board.

And i dont really get the comeback of opening up a bible. Which is kind of ironic since it\'s filled with metaphors.

Paul i don\'t care if he was kidding or not, it was uncalled for. As for the wheelchair, three years. However i only sit in it to eat dinner or sit at the computer.Other then that i walk everywhere. Also i drive too. He could heal me immediately if he desired, but i think he doesn\'t to use me for his glory.To encourage others.As for attending church, i happen to enjoy going to church. Yep i said that i go sunday morning,sometimes sunday night & wednesday evening. Plus i help out in the office on thursday. He is fair and humble, yes he does want us to fear him. Thats why psalm 1 says fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom. The day i accepted christ was the beginning of my new life, as was the day of my stroke.

oh my god man. I seriously give up trying to explain that to you.

and as for you being defendent of everything being true in the bible...are you kidding me? the guy who tells ME to crack open a bible is saying everything is literal? So adam and eve were real? yeaaaano. It\'s a metaphor to tell the people how they should act.

I\'m figuring you\'re SO defensive of your religion that you think the word \'metaphor\' is some blasphemous word. I am not cutting down religion. I took classes just to understand religions around the world, and knock of one of my GE\'s :D. I respect what religions do, in the sense of communities/teaching life lessons..shit, i partly wish i had faith, since life would be simpler. but it doesnt fit with my brain.

I have to ask... What the hell is the point of the wheelchair if you only use it for eating and surfin\' the \'net??  Maybe I am missing some key point of logic here, but that sounds just fucked up.  If this is the case, I hope you don\'t have a handicap sticker, as you\'re taking advantage of people who are truly handicapped.

I guess I just don\'t understand the point of using a wheelchair just for sitting. Is there something special about eating and watching porn in a wheelchair that can\'t be accomplished in a normal chair??

The only comment I\'ll add to the religion part of this thread is this.. . I\'m glad you\'ve "found" Jesus / God/ Allah or whatever. I\'m glad that this helps your life in some way, but I find it absurd to credit any divine deity for the good things you\'ve accomplished or the bad things you\'ve overcome. Take some credit for yourself, there was no miracle you survived.
