Raz at first when i recieved my brace, i did sit in a regular chair at the table. The wheelchair was in the living room and i only used to when i had the ps2 out. The reason i use it now is because when i would slide the chair over to the computer, the rungs in the bottom of the chair popped out. They constantly needed to be glued.Also the locks on the brace dug into the edge of the seat, which i can assure you really made me popular with her mother.After a few times my wife and her mother got sick of breaking out the glue. So that is why i sit in the wheelchair.

i don\'t understand how you can just walk with just the brace on? I can see how you can walk with the jumper, but not with the brace only.  Otherwise, that just shows your injury isn\'t severe that require a wheelchair or a walker...

I highly doubt that he can walk like you and me. Walking to him might be how we walk when our leg is asleep, but its still walking to him.

Paul are you completely insane. why  dont you put yourself in my shoes, don\'t use one side of your body for an hour or so. Drag one leg, let one arm just hang there. Try dressing with one arm. If you really want to have fun, get on the floor and try pulling yourself up with one arm, cant use your legs.

he had a stroke, which is bleeding of the brain. That causes paralysis, usually of one side of the body

he said half of his body was paralyzed...well, but i never heard him mentioned he had a surgery on his head.

If i recall correctly, back then he made many posts about him dealing with his paralyze, mostly about his leg or legs.  But I never heard him said anything about his head.

It is true...fred can sometimes be hard to understand,...but damn paul you\'re really tryin to investigate this injury of his,...i mean you\'re reachin\' hard....it\'s not that serious,....if he is lyin\' then he\'s one of the biggest losers around, but i don\'t think he is....does it sometimes sound like a pity outcry with his updates?.....maybe, but he could just genuinely be wanting to keep us informed...*shrugs* but whenever i see or hear somebody that\'s suffered a stroke and as a result can\'t use a their arms or legs, i refleck for a moment and i\'m thankful that i have full bodily functions.

Now i may need some assistance from viagra when i\'m like 85, but that\'s a loooong time from now...

I remember him mentioning something in teh beginning. Anyway, Paul, try to sit on your leg in a position where it will fall asleep. Then try to walk. That\'s what fred is going through. The brace just holds his leg straight. It would be like you walking stiff legged.
