Only in America! :D
« on: January 07, 2008, 12:32:47 AM »
Heh, I saw this poll yesterday, it\'s pretty scary... From the site:

This chart depicts the public acceptance of evolution theory in 34 countries in 2005. Adults were asked to respond to the statement: "Human beings, as we know them, developed from earlier species of animals." The percentage of respondents who believed this to be true is marked in blue; those who believed it to be false, in red; and those who were not sure, in yellow.

A study of several such surveys taken since 1985 has found that the United States ranks next to last in acceptance of evolution theory among nations polled. Researchers point out that the number of Americans who are uncertain about the theory\'s validity has increased over the past 20 years.

i guess we have too many bible thumpers here I supposed.  not me though, I don\'t care either way.  But evolution makes more sense to me than some religious believe that aren\'t scientific nor proven to be true either.

Who is this anamoly we call Jumpman? How is he able to do what he does and still survive after years of torment? It seems he feeds on the hate, growing with an intense passion to put unassuming members in their place.

You care Jumpy, I can see it in your eyes. They\'re the windows to your soul. Sometimes they say more. Than words could ever hold. We could wait a thousand lifetimes. And never feel like this again. But when you look at me that way. I can see it in your eyes.

Also Cyprus > USA. ;)

According to official statistics from January 2006, 83.0% [37] of Danes are members of the Lutheran state church, the Danish People\'s Church (Den Danske Folkekirke), also known as the Church of Denmark. According to article 6 of the Constitution, the Royal family must belong to this Church. 4% of the Danish population adhere to Islam, and other religions in Denmark, include non-Lutheran Christian denominations.

Church of gay is more like it.

Don't waste your words I don't need anything from you. I don't care where you've  been or what you plan to do. I am the resurrection and I am the light. I  couldn't ever bring myself to hate you as I'd like.

Where is Australia?

Not necesessarily because of Bible thumpers, there is such a thing as evolutionary creationsim. The Bible says God created the Earth and everything in it, it doesn\'t say how he did it. I personally don\'t believe we came from or evolved from other animals, i believe we are a species unto our own.

At the time the Bible was written, there was no word for evolution. Saying that we come from Earth is actually true. Think about it. :)

Sam, don\'t lump all tolerant intelligent Christians with the fundies.

You know I\'m a Christian and that I believe in Evolution. Heck....even the Catholic Church has acknowledged that Evolution is likely true.

BTW, Subies > Evo

Remember that last part, Sam.

Uh.. disturbing that Livets Ord represent such a large percent of the population. Surely such lunatics are the only once that dont believe in the evolution theory?
